Taha, Melissa, and Sabrina are back after the holiday break, they're still a bit of a mess, but they're putting on their big boy pants and getting down to business(-ish)!

In that spirit, we want to know what you want to see on the Patreon this year.

What makes your patronage feel worthwhile? More YouTube videos? More PatPod? More BTS of videos we ended up cancelling? Something else? Let us know!

In his defense, it actually has 202 views.

Behind the scenes podcasts are what I'm here for! (And supporting y'all, obviously.) Even if a video is getting delayed or cancelled, it's interesting to hear the thought process behind it. This episode was enlightening.

please bring back more patpods 🫶🏽🫶🏽 i love them and i love the chatty times

I personally subscribed to the Patreon initially for the podcasts, and they are still my fave thing y’all do on here!! The videos of you all fooling around (like the sushi class) are also great. I came here for the answers in progress, but I stayed here for the people and the personalities. I am totally in favor of letting yourselves shine more in your videos!

I subscribed to support the creation of YouTube videoa without really thinking about the perks, but the patpod is a wonderful bonus that I'd love more of (format or no format)!

I subscribed because I love the work you're doing and wanted to support it. I'm someone who has almost stopped consuming any sort of social media content except by a handful of creators whose work feels worthwhile, and y'all are some of my favorites. In the process of becoming a Patron, the PatPod may have become my favorite thing y'all make, because of the dynamic between you all and maybe because it's a little more bite size than a video (and something I can play during a drive or while cooking or something).

Also, I work in horticulture and have worked on bonsai and so I feel compelled to "well actually." So even though I like what you said about why you chose bonsai as your theme, Sabrina, I want to share that bonsai trees are usually relatively young specimens manipulated and stressed so that they appear much much older. There's usually pretty intense pruning and literal wiring of branches and roots and the use of special products to make deadwood look older. And often the plants themselves are hella stressed and more susceptible to insect pests and disease, and require more pesticides to keep them alive. So to me hearing the idea of "bonsai" as a yearly theme I wanted to shout NO don't do that to yourself. But I think the reasoning behind the word makes sense.

I signed up to support your work, without expectations to be provided something. But materials that you have created anyways but got canceled on the ways sounds like a great bonus for here. Also, love the podcast! Thanks guys, have a great year!

Your vibes, combined and individual, are what keeps me subscribed so I'm happy with whatever content you're able to put out. I have noticed at least one of my patreon subscriptions hasn't posted since April so I probably should prune some others but I mention it now in a could-be-worse kinda way 😅

Okello

I only pay for two patreon subscriptions and this being one of them. I do it purely for the vibes, and to reduce pressure on you to make content. The idea of patreon is to financially support creativity so you can focus on what inspires you and make the projects that would otherwise require selling your souls for them to make any financial sense. That being said, people like to feel like they are getting their money's worth so the request for content is reasonable. For the patreon, a chatty session is enough to keep us going while you brew and have existential, identity and creative crisises.

I love listening to the patpods on my commute to my college since it's usually the exact time, but I think Id like to see more of the BTS research? Like raw notes or facts that wouldn't make it into the video or the aftershow?

I signed up because I love the work you guys do and want to support it. I'd be interested in behind the scenes content. Other people's creative processes intrigues me. That includes getting a project to completion, so I'd like to see what leads a project to ultimately get scrapped. I appreciate how honest you guys are when struggling creatively. Also, I'd never say no to more chatty patpods.

Guessed

I signed up for videos and have yet to listen to a patpod (not a podcast person)
