In a recent patpod, we talked about all of the videos we cancelled last year. Based on the comments (and egging from Joe, man of the patreon people), we are releasing some of the videos in their final state before they were axed.

Enjoy what little there is of the digital wallets video which stopped being about digital wallets like 2 minutes in when I tore the poster off the wall.

I like the transision that makes it look like she said that they are wrong and she hung up without explaining to them what they did wrong

Dylan Weaver

This was fun! Open to more of these. (Also, gotta say, I love a 5 minute YouTube video. I know there isn't a market for them, but boy are they nice)

Serafin

"THANK YOU JOE!", we all say in unison

Naomi

Great video but I can see why you pulled it. Hopefully it's got another life in the future 🤞

My wife still writes checks for large purchases, as she refuses to use a credit card, which would lead to identity theft (what we Boomers used to call "check fraud" when it happened).

Warren G Campbell

As I listened to the patpod episode that brought up this video, I wondered if a recent Veritasium video also covered this topic. The thumbnail to that Veritasium video seemed to imply that iPhones are vulnerable to some sort of "tap" theft. (I did NOT take the time to actually check, because busy.)

What is that screenshot on your homepage? XD

The Veritasium video focuses more on a specific vulnerablility that arises from the combination of how iPhones and Visa handle phone tap payments. It's interesting, but a different angle on the topic, I think.

*virtual high five to Joe for having our back* I'm even more intrigued about this video now. 😬 Thanks for sharing!

It's a shame this video got cancelled while already this advanced in the editing. The part that's there is already good. I don't think I would do a long-form video necessarily with this, but adding a few more minutes would have made a nice video I think.

I want this video. Stuff like this is fascinating!
