Sabrina is making a video about Dungeons & Dragons! In this bonus podcast, she talks to Taha and Melissa about their experiences with tabletop games, if there really are dragons, Taha's wargaming credentials and whether D&D has actually broken containment and become mainstream. We're trying something new with this one! Some of the clips from this podcast will also appear in our upcoming video, but we're giving all you lovely people a sneak peak first. Let us know what you think in the comments!

I would love an episode with you playing a session of DND. I listen to multiple DND podcasts: dungeons and daddies, girls that don't D&D. Girls that don't DND is a good intro I think because the players never played when they started. A good addition to the video would be other systems like pathfinder or call of cthulhu

i don't know. Listening to Melissa having a hard time describing only one system, i dont think including too many systems would be a good idea. unless Sabrina isnt planning to go into detail with dnd, maybe, if she doesnt go in detail in any of them, or it would be too overwhelming

A failed d20 test doesnt necessary means something doesnt happen. Slidding on a table: - nat 20 -> slide on it, reload handcrossbow at the same time or whatnot - success -> slide on it and land successfully - failled -> slide on it, lands weirdly, disadvantage or something - nat 1 -> just slams the table fully on, takes a damage or two or prone, or whatever Depends a lot on the dm too. Don't know what kind of video you're going to do, but a great DM reference is Mike Shea aka Sly Flourish, who made series of Lazy DM resources and have top tier advices for Dms.

To answer Taha about dnd being the go to: popularity. And people wouldn't want to learn other systems.

@Melissa - the easiest way I've explained what D&D is: If you use "television" as an analogy to "D&D", then each "show" could be a "campaign". Imagine you're playing Game of Thrones. You create a character with different wants/needs/motivations/backstory in the beginning and progress through the story with your friends who have done the same. Each time you sit down, you're playing 1 episode. Next time you show up, you play the next episode. Eventually you'll play the entire season of Game of Thrones. You can then continue on to play the next season if everyone wants ---OR--- you could decide to play a completely different show. Maybe this time you're playing the show Lost. You can play in a completely different setting, with different struggles as a completely new character. (Usually you don't play an actual show, it's something the Dungeon Master [DM] has written themselves, or a premade module by some random person online, or Wizards of the Coast, the company who owns D&D) There is usually a "big bad" evil that you're trying to defeat by the end. When you've done that, you won! ..but then maybe you found out that there was something even more nefarious behind all of it..
