Kristine Doggett

I love Jethro Tull's music and this album is a classic.

Gail Richie

This is an excellent list. I have a lot of research to do before deciding.

Lee Haskin

Should we try Tull again? Although Jeff Beck and Styx would be great too...

Robert Vincent

Heartbreakers is one of my absolute favorite albums

Debra Brabenec

I love Thick as a Brick! Had it on 8 track and played it in our Candy Apple Red '71 Capri!!

Gary Lewis

You know I had to vote for "Thick As A Brick" after the outstanding "Baker St. Muse" reaction video! And this time we'd get to enjoy the full NicknLex reaction to the epitome of prog Tull...

Scott Anderson

Lots of good variety but variety is the spice of life voting for a newbie or an underdog.

Greg In East TN

Sorry, but nothing interests me. Most I've heard hundreds of times. If you keep putting it off, you'll regret every day you haven't heard "Waitin' For Columbus" by Little Feat, when you do hear it. They're the best, under rated, under appreciated band in the land!

Mark Alexander

There's nothing like Thick as a Brick. I'd be thick to vote anything else.

Michael Gray

This was a no brainer for me as Kansas is one my top three bands. Had to pick the Kansas album.

Gary Lewis

I couldn't agree more about both Little Feat in general and "Waiting For Columbus" in particular. As for me and masterwork albums I've heard hundreds of times, watching NicknLex react with their first listening gives me a new take with fresh ears...

Richard Dobson

At long last! Thick As A Brick is on the list. JK said he had heard my plea! I do hope Nick and Alexia finally get to hear this classic, and in the right conditions too!

Richard Dobson

That is the beauty of these full album reactions.

Stephen Caruso

so sad my Tull album lost by a vote last month..

Scott Anderson

That was as close as it gets. When I saw as thick as a brick as an option, I knew that it would win as quick as a trick. We will see what wins, but I think you’ll get your Jethro this week. Sorry you missed it by such a whisker last time.

Scott Anderson

Waiting for Columbus has my vote for greatest live album by the band of musicians favorite musicians. I will request it for you next month.

JK

You are correct sir!

JK

I’m trying to remedy that this month.

NicknLex

You guys are all the best!! 🥰🥰

David Hess

NicknLex family, let's all vote for Simply Red, we all know how much they love Simply Red, let's give them the gift of voting for the music they really love, as a gift to NicknLex for all the hard work they do with their YouTube channel.

Scott Anderson

Shout out to whomever is nominating Jeff Beck Blow by Blow. That’s a great selection and needs to be heard at some point. In my top 10 albums from the old days.

Richard Dobson

Thank you JK. Fingers crossed it stays in front!

Gary Lewis

Ah, Debra, my musical sister from another mister! MY 8-track was in a blue '72 Olds Cutlass, the cassettes I wore out most were Bowie/Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust, the first Boston album, and Pink Floyd/Animals...THAT version of "Animals" had the rare "Pigs On The Wing" in its entirety with the incredible guitar solo by Snowy White joining what were edited into Parts 1 and 2 on all other album pressings...It took me years to learn I wasn't imagining it (or drug-influenced) and that it actually existed when it could be found nowhere else...

Debra Brabenec

Ooh! One of my favorite cars was an emerald green '74 Cutlass Supreme with white vinyl roof and lighted opera windows, inherited from my brother-in-law. Sadly, a brutal winter storm claimed it when I spun out and bounced it off a light pole. 😥 The other 8 tracks I remember were Chicago V, Led Zeppelin II, and America's first album.

Scott Anderson

My first vehicle was a canary yellow 67 Chevelle Chevrolet. I put a quadrophonic stereo in it and I remember lots of good stuff but especially isolating the guitar outro solo by Denny Dias on King of the World by steely dan. You could do that with a quad it was super cool. 😎

Gary Lewis

Quadrophonic! My system in the Cutlass kicked butt and was always "on 11", but Quad with the signal separation in the car must've been awesome. But if we're talking about FIRST vehicles, mine was a white '64 Buick Skylark ragtop I named Max. Originally my uncles and then my older brother's, it was stolen in Cambridge when he was at Harvard so that it no longer needed a key to start it. I had to take some wires off the distributor and put them in my pocket when I parked so it would still be there when I got back. LOVED that car!

Debra Brabenec

Well, that '71 Capri was my first, handed down from my sister to my brother and then to me By the time I got it, both front seat backs were broken, now held up by stacks of newspapers and logs of wood! I was unlucky driving in winter though, as that one died taking out a premium gas pump after slipping down an icy ramp!

Scott Anderson

I washed dishes at a BBQ restaurant in Texas and saved all my coin for that stereo. Eventually my cousin wrapped it around a sycamore tree. 😱🥲 good bye Quad. I had worn out all my Quadraphonic 8 tracks out by then anyway.

Scott Anderson

Yikes a close call on the gas pump. 😱

Debra Brabenec

Oh dear, I hope your cousin was okay! My first words to the attendant who rushed to me and my broken car (as we were sitting on top of said gas pump) were, "Am I going to blow up?" He assured me that there was an emergercy shutoff valve on the pump. Whew!

Stephen Caruso

i changed to kansas because I had that album when it came out as a teen and it was so amazing

Scott Anderson

My cousin is fairly indestructible he has an illustrious career of surviving accidents.

Eric Townsend

Thick As A Brick, my favorite album of all time - still after all these years. Of course my listening has not acquainted me with a lot of more recent music other than "singles". If anyone knows of a non-Jethro Tull album that can complete, let me know! Any era.

JK

Wow, Eric, that is one brave challenge! The sort of request that can cause empires to fall. Anxious to see who has the courage to respond with an alternative candidate!

NicknLex

Excited to record Thick as a Brick -- FINALLY!!! Thank you all for voting and for being here! :)
