Stevie Wonder and Camel!! Nice choices! Let’s see which pulls off the win!!😁

Quintin

Shoot I was 3rd but I took too long to do my message! Silk Degrees.... Can't wait for you to hear Georgia! Along with Lido Shuffle and Lowdown! '76 and '77 were great years for music!

Gary Lewis

Tough choice, but I went with Silk Degrees, which played out of every single dorm room and apartment my junior and senior years of college, not to mention wall to wall hits on the radio. A change of pace from the usual NicknLex fare, but a masterpiece in its own right, with every single track worth the listen...

Debra Brabenec

I went with Radiohead. I was gonna pick Stevie, the iconic fellow Michigander, but, though there are great songs on sides 1 and 2, my favorite is side 4! Funny, I just today stood behind a woman at the pharmacy who was wearing a Songs in the Key of Life hoodie, with the album's artwork on the back, and Stevie's name in print and Braille!

JK

Totally agree!

JK

And What Can I Say!

Michael Gray

All great albums but Camel is one my favorite bands. I had to pick "Mirage" which was the first Camel album I listened to.

Stephen Caruso

very tough - I love Jean Luc and Robert Palmer on that album has at least 3 songs I like but I must go with the master Stevie - that album came out at the same year as Silk Degrees and Hotel California and I was 18 and living in Greeley Colo- I love Boz too and What Can I Say but Stevie's album was a life altering experience

Scott Anderson

Another great list of musical options. 😵‍💫 I saw the list at about 1:30 this morning. I could have been first, I think 🤔 🤣 maybe, but I wanted to see how much Stevie would be leading Boz in the voting. 😱 I think Stevie will win it hands down. Those two albums are both iconic with tons of good songs with Stevie being a double album. For now I’m Voting for an underdog that is less expected, that has less popularity and represents more variety for the channel. However, I will abandon diversity for a more competitive winner at the finish line. I predict a good race from a couple of thoroughbred albums, and some other dark horse competition from Camel, Radiohead and the rest of the field. AND THEY ARE OFF. 🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇

Scott Anderson

Stevie Wonder the songs in the key of life is a masterpiece, I think it will be hard to topple.

Scott Anderson

A great option has some real traction. 🤞

Scott Anderson

A lot of good options that’s a great Radiohead album could be a sleeper, might surprise everyone. 😃

Scott Anderson

Definitely a change of pace and lots of memories in this record. When I was a youngster there was a waitress at a lounge that I had a crush on and she loved this song so I would play it on the jukebox over and over. I think it might have been the B side of Lowdown. Alas all my quarters were spent in vain but the memory remains effervescent. 🤣

Michael Gray

I hope so. I agree with you though Stevie's album is also a really great album and I'm sure it will be the winner.

Gary Lewis

Personally, I think of YOU as an iconic Michigander, Debra!😀

Gary Lewis

I can SO relate, Scott! I went to Colgate University and was in The Colgate 13 (2nd oldest collegiate a capella group after the Yale Whiffenpoofs...Think "Pitch Perfect")...We toured in addition to going to school, and every Spring Break would be performers in residence at some tropical resort to escape the Upstate NY deep freeze...Spring of '76 it was at The Buccaneer in St. Croix...As you can imagine, there were always hot hookups on the road, and "Harbor Lights" was playing in a Christiansted bar with the literal harbor lights twinkling before me and romance in the air...as Jack Nicholson said, "That's one that just doesn't go away..."

Debra Brabenec

Aw, gee Gary! Not quite, I fear, though I have sung onstage with Bobby McFerrin, The Kings Singers, The Gabrielli Consort, The Tallis Scholars, Maggie and Suzzy Roche, and many world-class orchestras!😅

Richard Dobson

I'm going to sit back and let you all fight it out this month. The only one of the six in my collection is Silk Degrees, but I'm happy to hear something else. Good luck everyone!

Richard Dobson

And it's Anderson in the back straight ahead by 2 lengths!!!!

Scott Anderson

😆 My horse is in last place but it’s cool 😎 great selections we are all winners.

NicknLex

Richard!! We need the votes!! 🗳️ 💖

Richard Dobson

OK guys! Sorry, I must take some responsibility, I know. Done!

Stephen Caruso

I like that you sing so do I in fact I have been the choir director for 6 congregations here in So Cal and currently lead my congregation as chorister and music director! I was in The Sketch Band check out our horrible hand made YouTube videos lol! we did open for REO Speedwagon and Weird Al 15 yrs ago at So Calif State Fair in Lake Perris

Debra Brabenec

Wow, great Stephen! I'll check out your videos!

Tom Torres

Great list, personally i´d like to see Lex & Nick dive into the *wonder*world of Stevie Wonder ;)

Debra Brabenec

Great harmonizing! Glenn Frey grew up in my home town and we had the same piano teacher!

Stephen Caruso

I'm the guy on the right with the percussion bongoes congas etc- cool Glenn Frey !

JK

A Wondrous blowout! No contest when it comes to the Beatles or Stevie. You will HAVE to do Disc 2, though! This is probably the best double album of all time - and yes, I’m including Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

Stephen Caruso

JK is correct! also only doing part of George Harrison's All Things and part of double albums like the early Chicago or the The Who or The White Album or Yellow Brick Road or Stevie's Songs In The Key - I understand it takes a lot of time and Alexia does have the back pain etc .. but it would be amazing
