Oh Yeah! Always in the mood for the long songs on this album! Glad Renaissance won!

I'm so glad you two are blown away by this music. This was really fun to go through with you. I first heard this around 1979 or 80 when I was 15 because my older brother got the vinyl. I recorded a cassette from his vinyl and listened to it over and over being more and more thrilled by it with repeated listens. Today I realized that the middle part of Scheherazade, I think the Festival Prep part, is my favorite portion of the album. I love when they do that really proggy, frequently changing style. Today it reminded me of Images and Words. This stuff grows on you the more familiar you get with it. I wish you many happy re-listens in your future! Thank you for sharing.

Renaissance was not a group I ever listened to in the 70's but this many years later was a pleasant surprise- although the vocals are great --in my book the instrumentation is so terrific and the jazz elements and the strings and the time and construction of the album is very impressive- I am glad to be exposed again after 45 plus years since last time I may have heard a little taste of this

My first time hearing this band, and I loved it! I agree with your comparisons to Jethro Tull and The Moody Blues. With a great female voice! I’m interested in hearing more.
