As you know, I hold the both of you in the highest esteem. Nick, my brother, and Alexia my dear, please know that I am here for you in this dire hour. I will support you two in the best way that I can from my end. Be it financial or morale support, you have it from me. I went through a very similar situation 30 years ago, but it was my brother who sucked my dear mom dry of all her money and love for life. By the time I made it to her to care for her she had given up on life. I gave her back the zest of life, and it sounds like that's what Claudia needs from you two. I promise you Nick, your dear mother will get better just having you and Alexia there for her and showing her that someone still loves and cares for her. In fact when 'This Is Your Life' snagged Phil Collins, Peter sent a sweet video from Montreal explaining why he could not be there. He and Sting were beginning their world wide tour for Amnesty International. (also on the video was a humorous message from Phil's good friend Robert Plant) I think one of Gabriel's messages in 'The Lamb' was one of hope for humanity. That it is what we decide, what our values are, that determine who we really are. It is upon these decisions that we choose our course and what actions we take. Do we try to save John or not! Obviously Peter walked the talk. We get the feeling you guys have a feeling of who you are. I will be upping my tier to Groopie to do a little bit to help out. And when you have some free time for entertainment I am including a link to Phil's episode of 'This is your Life'. It is a family confirming, warm hearted experience. Plus you get to see how truly uncomfortable a real humble rock star can be when looking at his out-takes and performances. As a perfectionist, his scowls are to me rather cute and human. I donated immediately a few days ago (as Rodney, not Rod), without hesitation, after seeing your video on Youtube explaining the situation. It's the least I could do in return for the pleasure you both give me whenever I watch one of your reaction videos. I can see that both of you have strong family values, and would do anything to take care of a family member in need. Family should come first, so don't feel bad if this makes for less time to do your reactions. We can wait for your return. I'm proud of you for taking on this huge responsibility, a lot of young couples wouldn't do it.

Oh guys, you have so much to deal with!! I understand what that can be like when family stuff is simply overwhelming. Had a load of stuff to deal with myself a few years ago which I didn't know how I could ever get through, so I sympathise. I really wish I could offer practical help but live in England and it's just that bit too far. Here's hoping you can get your mother's situation sorted and that her operation goes well.
