Rumours! Every once in a while I play this entire masterpiece of a record and I'm reminded how much they changed the way I listened to music.Cheers,

Eric Meredith

Great Record! Would be a great full ablum reaction for sure!

Walter Gill

Hardly anyone ever plays Neil Young & Crazy Horse music on the radio anymore and why not show them some love!!!!

Jim led50jl

I'm torn ... My 1st thought was Rumours because it is indeed a classic I have played so many many times over the decades, but just seeing Tom Petty's name up there, pulls at my heart strings even more. It's not even his classic debut album, but nevertheless ... Damn it ! I'm voting for Damn The Torpedoes ! ..... Fire !!! Jim X

Joss Oakes

Tom Petty forever ! ❤️

Scott Anderson

All great choices here. I think Rumors will definitely be a runaway train on this vote. That album is so full of great music that was played A LOT on the radio it’s hard to deny its popularity or the quality of the recording. But that being said, I’ll cast my vote for a well deserved less popular underdog even though my vote will be overwhelmed by well deserved fame. Don’t get me wrong. It’s a great album, it’s just not one I am as compelled to see a reaction to as it is so acclaimed already. If it wins I will still delight in seeing NicknLex’s great reaction, all the choices are winners.

Richard Dobson

Yes I recko n Rumours will win as well, and that's fine by me. But... I'm voting for Neil as I've always wanted to hear the guys react to 'Cinnamon Girl' and the greatest one note guitar solo ever! Oh my, second at the moment!!

KevB(rewski)

I'm torn because I'm a diehard Neil + the Horse fan, their debut album has 3 absolute slam dunk guitar classics that I'm sure everyone knows (written all the same night in a fury of inspiration if memory serves), and Neil oddly doesn't get the popular acclaim that he deserves despite his legendary status. I'm torn because Rumours will be the popular fav, and as a 17 year old in 1977 in HS, you couldn't walk 4 feet without hearing something off Rumours. It was EVERYWHERE (along with Hotel California by the Eagles). Me? I was playing Neil's Decade 3 LP compilation to death, along with Genesis Trick of the Tail and Wind and Wuthering, Yes' Going for the One, Renaissance's Live at Carnegie Hall and Novella, ELP Works, and Steely Dan AJA. What a year for music. I dissed Rumours as "relationship music" and soft rock back then. I skipped going to see Fleetwood Mac in their prime (Stevie Nicks twirling around in her gypsy look...what the heck was I thinking!). I should have been paying more attention to the fact that the HS girls loved this album. But quietly, I knew Rumours was packed with quality tunes. Never bought the LP, didn't get it unitl the CD release. I now appreciate it a whole lot more. I guess you have to have loved and lost a bit more to appreciate Rumours. So, a tough choice. Have a week to mull it over.....

Dave

Voted Neil, despite Rumors probably already winning. Down by the River, Cowgirl in the Sand, Cinnamon Girl some of Neils best. Rumors is a top 5 album all time though, at least by me. Got played to death back then and rightfully so. The first album from this FM era simply titled "Fleetwood Mac" should also get a little love.

JK

If Neil loses, which looks likely, this shows that he’s worth trying again in the next poll.

Fleetwood Mac Rumours is a must listen for anyone who hasn't heard it before because it is one of the greatest albums of all time. It is I believe one of the top five best selling albums of all time because it is pretty much a perfect album. It features Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham who joined the group for their 1975 self titled album instantly turning a good group into a super group. The 1975 album Gave them their first big hit in "Rhiannon" along with a few more then the stars aligned for them in 1977 when they released Rumours. The album featured 6 big hits for them and others that were good quality deep cuts, making it a good listen all the way through. The other albums are great albums but Rumours is one of the greatest albums in my opinion.

One of the many times I saw Neil live was at the Beale Street Music Festival on the banks of the Mississippi in Memphis about a decade ago. Not with Crazy Horse, but with Promise of the Real as his young backing band (Willie Nelson's son). So its still light out and about 50 yards to my right as I'm looking at the stage is the Mississippi River flowing by with the sun setting beyond to the west. Neil + band comes out and launches into DOWN BY THE RIVER as the first tune. Long intro jam....real long intro jam. By the time he sings the first verse, the sun is almost done setting. They proceed to play not a 10 min, not a 20 min, but a 35 minute long distortion feedback drenched intense jamming version of DBTR! Absolutely incredible. He and band were completely in a zone. It was so awesome, and the setting made it so perfect.

Dave

Thanks, interesting. I believe there's a Memphis Blues fest end of this month. Only reason I know is bc looked up Larkin Poe's tour schedule. It's sold out. Used to go to Trempeleau, Wi Reggae Fests on the Mississippi River. Always a good time and the river in the background was beautiful. Sunny day, 80 degrees and some good reggae in the background. Throw in a few Red Stripes and I'm a happy camper.

Scott Anderson

I pulled my vote off of Chain Reaction as I was the only one and threw my vote behind Neal. See what happens.

JK

I didn’t know you could even do that! Hmmm …

Michele

Cool runnin’ Mon! Irie. 🌞

Michele

Strategy! 👍

Scott Anderson

Strategery is what they call it in Texas. 😝

KevB(rewski)

I switched my initial vote to Neil+Crazy Horse from Rumours also this past weekend. Interesting that Neil and his Horse are suddenly surging and have taken the lead going into the final straightaway! This is exciting! Place your bets on the Horse! Smell the Horse!

KevB(rewski)

Kudos. No sense being the Ross Perot or Ralph Nader of this election!

Scott Anderson

Back a winning horse a crazy horse. Looks like a photo finish.

Scott Anderson

Down to the proverbial wire, I’ve already moved my vote to Neal. So fingers crossed and glad I don’t have a gambling problem. 😱

Great Scott

my vote for rumours just tied them up...

KevB(rewski)

We got a fixer in the house! I told you to PLACE it on Lucky Dan, PLACE not WIN! Ya folla? (from THE STING, in case that flew over the head)

JK

Well, I nominated the Mac but switched my vote to Neil as well. That was a close one - I bet Neil could win the next time around!

KevB(rewski)

There must have been either a few Neil voters who switched their votes back to FM at the last minute, or a couple of sly quiet FM voters whose absentee ballots were counted at the last minute. Neil is going to take this to the Sup Ct and file lawsuits in all 50 states!

Richard Dobson

Wow! The Mac won with a late surge down the home stretch!
