Woohoo, cannot wait to dig in a wonderful surprise we will get to hear your reactions to some rearranged material and some great performances. Eating lunch and then I’m diving in.

Your reaction did not disappoint, I felt like I was listening to it for the first time, again but even better because it was with you guys. Riki don’t Loose that Number arrangement is really good they amped up the chord voicing and phrasings. Can’t wait for part two.

So glad you did this! I got this CD the minute it was released (along with The Nightfly Live, which is equally terrific and deserves its own reaction). I was a little apprehensive because I was concerned about Donald’s voice after hearing Sunken Condos, but he sounds pretty good here. He also pumped up the support of the backup singers - “Yes, there’s gas in the car!” The other essential live album is Alive in America, which is from 1995 and of course includes Walter Becker. Many people prefer that album’s version of Reelin’ in the Years to the original. Can’t wait for Part Two!

Any Steely Dan content is quality content in my eyes. Really fun video and for the most part the songs all sounded great. Kid Charlemagne did miss the mark a bit for me as well. All in all makes me want to go see them live in the future!

I love any Dan but 1994 Alive in America is really good too

I bought this and Donald's Nightflyers album right when they came out. So good to FINALLY get some more official Dan live content since the Jazz Plush DVD in 2000 (which would be another great reaction). The only downside is it was done after Walter passed. Bummer. Will try to watch this weekend. Btw, maybe its just me, but your mic volume seems a bit low, the music volume sounded fine.

I finally got to watch this reaction, on my laptop with headphones! It's the only way I watch the Patreon album reactions. Likewise most of the YT reactions, unless I'm running behind on some of Nick's and then I catch up on the TV while I'm doing the ironing. I thoroughly enjoyed all the songs; I'm not well versed on Steely Dan Live, in fact the only time I saw them live was at the Rainbow in London in May 1974. This was the famous tour that was cut short because of Donald's 'throat issues'. It was a great gig though, promoting Pretzel Logic. I particularly liked this version of 'Rikki Don't Lose That Number'. Looking forward to Part 2.
