Dick Van Patten was most known (at least to me) was playing the father on “Eight is Enough” (the show that took Rose two years to learn the kids names) He was also on an episode of Facts of Life playing ex husband of Cloris Leachman’s character things were fine untl she met his new wife that was played by “Jean” Dorothy’s “Lebanese” friend that fell in love with Rose. So it’s funny he ends up in two shows with women fighting over him and Jean too where Rose won on that cause Jean was only interested in Rose
