We did a regular bonus episode and then trialed our 1st episode of our unnamed U.S. History Podcast - and that went well.

1:09:15 Columbus came with the intent to pillage, rape, and kill. It is completely false to think otherwise. As noted in the diary of Bartolome de las Casas, a priest who accompanied Columbus on his conquest: “Endless testimonies . .. prove the mild and pacific temperament of the natives…. But our work was to exasperate, ravage, kill, mangle and destroy... [columbus' men] attacked the towns and spared neither the children nor the aged nor pregnant women nor women in childbed, not only stabbing them and dismembering them but cutting them to pieces as if dealing with sheep in the slaughter house.”, “They took infants from their mothers’ breasts, snatching them by the legs and pitching them head first against the crags or snatched them by the arms and threw them into the rivers, roaring with laughter and saying as the babies fell into the water, ‘Boil there, you offspring of the devil!’”. This is a first hand account (primary source), this is someone who was actually there witnessing what happened. We really were not taught the proper history.
