Greetings, my fellow savages!
The last couple months have been a fucking whirlwind.
The schedule is back to booked & busy, which is great, but definitely has its downside. Mainly that it's hard to stop and smell the roses, though I tried with the tulips.
We got our HEXbangers pics back! (technically from March but still)
Kiko is a sweet little shark-toothed insane baby maniac.
I went straight from getting powerbombed through glass at GCW to staying up the ENTIRE night finishing the blue jean curtain/backdrop for my brother's baby shower. I literally did not sleep and went straight to the shower to set it up. I think I was up for 36 hours total before I finally went to bed.
Laura and I are back to recording The Chainsaw Girls in person, and this past weekend we just recorded another loop, went to Toronto for Greektown, then came back for the Buffalo Horror Garage Sale.
That convention was a BLAST. We were offered a table and turned it down, and I'm glad we did that for this one because we were able to fully enjoy it. (but we're definitely getting a table for the next one) I can't recall the last time I spent so much money at a convention, (maybe that's not a good thing ๐ ) and I can't wait to show you my haul!
I'm so used to wrestling conventions and the Galaxycon ones where almost everything is anime. Which is totally fine, but not what I'm going to drop a bunch of money on personally. Usually at Galaxycon I'm looking for the horror booths, and in the past they've been disappointing. Like a very small selection of badly printed and highly priced crap. The Buffalo Horror Garage Sale was a convention full of ARTISTS. They had such a great variety of vendors and I didn't see any fucking AI slop or Amazon shit bought in bulk that was being sold for 10x the price. We had such an amazing time!
We got to meet Frank Henenlotter, who directed Frankenhooker, Basket Case, etc. AND we got to hang out with Nathan Baesel who plays Leslie Vernon in Behind the Mask!
Yall... he was a fuckin GEM. The three of us had instant chemistry, which is even better because Laura and I are hosting a Behind the Mask screening and Q&A WITH HIM in September at Triangle Terror Con in North Carolina!
Also, Laura got jump scared by the zombie pictured in this dump and I WASN'T RECORDING IT ๐ญ But it was so good ๐
Ugh it was such an incredible weekend! And we both really needed that.
Earlier this month Marti, Laura, Courtney Rush and I went down to Orlando to visit Rebel for a couple days. If you're not aware what's going on with her, you can check out her videos on her IG: RebelTanea. We love her so much. What's happening to her is weighing on all of us so much heavier than we show publicly. I already have my next flight booked to see her in June, and as of right now I'm hoping to go down there monthly, at least. And unfortunately right now is such a hard time to fly with flight prices alone. Detroit to Orlando should be like $100 round trip. Right now it's like minimum $400.
All that to say thank you so much for your support. I realized as I logged in today that I didn't post in May (outside of the calendar pic) which is very unlike me. But I'm back home this week and getting everything organized, planned, and scheduled out for June. Thank you for understanding.
Yall are the best. Stay classy my friends. Hug your loved ones & when someone crosses your mind that you can/should reach out to, just do it!
