2023 Recap Video! 🎉 (Patreon)

Greetings, my fellow savages!

I hope you all had a safe and happy New Year's Eve. Here is my annual recap video via 1 Second Story! I've been using this app to post my annual recaps for a few years now. It shows one second from every day this year, and in 2023 I actually filled out EVERY DAY! And remembered to keep updating it periodically so that I didn't have to do all of this at once by the end of the year. *pat on the back* I think I only forgot to record something for a handful of the days, like less than 10, so I filled those in with random videos of the cats. 😂

This video has already perked me up for the new year, and reminded me of all the beauty that came with 2023. I had some struggles, but I am grateful overall. I follow this bjj girl on IG (Kendall Reusing) and she wrote something that really resonated with me: "There are lots of big moments of discomfort between these highlights, that's for sure. But choosing to celebrate all of it is the option that leads me to experiencing gratitude and love as *verbs*, so I will always do my best to choose that kind of celebration, as often as I can remember."

If you know me, you know I absolutely hate one-size-fits-all inspirational quotes, or anything inauthentic really, but I thought what she wrote was sincere. And I'm not always a "look on the bright side" type of person, so I do occasionally need a reminder to give myself some grace. And overall I truly did have a good year and have so much to be thankful for - that doesn't invalidate the struggles, but I don't want to lose sight of the good while it's right in front of me either.
