"Of the pleasures and pains of opium much has been written. The ecstasies and horrors of De Quincey and the paradis artificiels of Baudelaire are preserved and interpreted with an art which makes them immortal, and the world knows well the beauty, the terror, and the mystery of those obscure realms into which the inspired dreamer is transported (…)"-HP.Lovecraft with Winifred V. Jackson

Hi everyone, I am pleased to present "An Opium Den"!We entered this old store in Chinatown, to find the one they called "The Grand Master". On the other side of the old red wooden door, another world... They told us to wait, lying on these mattresses, and they brought us this kind of big pipe. And we let ourselves wander in these endless wisps of smoke, which sometimes looked like imaginary animals, sometimes like unknown landscapes.I cannot say how long we waited for the great master. But at one point, he stood there, in the middle of us all, sitting on a big white cloud with a bluish reflection...

Thanks for all of those nice maps. I am really fascinated by this art style and currently building a campaign for my p&p group. I liked the idea of those macros, but unfortunately wasn't able to get them functioning. We're using FoundryVTT ... do I need a special module to use those macros? Thanks in advance!

Hi Arthur , thank you for this comment! I use a macro map exactly like any other map. Except that the size of the cells is bigger (210x210 px instead of 70x70px). (Arthur, are you french ?)

Hello there, unfortunately, I do not speak French. Thanks already for the quick reply! I have no problem with the appearance of the map. All the maps look excellent. I probably expressed myself wrong. I thought “Macro Maps” meant maps that contain “Event Tiles”, like the “Bus in Trouble” map. “Macro Maps” are therefore the smaller maps with particularly high resolution? So then the question remains for me how to use such Event Tiles. How often do you use such Event Tiles?

Oh I said that because Arthur is a common name in French :)

Oh, I didn't know that. Interesting! Actually I'm from Germany :)

Yes "macro map" is just a term for a small place. If I had made it at the same scale as a large map, the map would be ridiculously smaller. So I keep a large format, and there is a lot more definition in a cell. Occasionally it allows me to play with perspective a little more. What I can't do with a too big map.
