Orb of True Essence (Patreon)

Wondrous Item, Very Rare (Requires Attunement by a Sorcerer)

A scrying orb used by the fey to gather knowledge, gaining power over the subject. This orb can be used as a spellcasting focus. While holding this orb, you gain a +2 bonus to spell attack rolls.

True Name. Once per long rest, you can cast the Legend Lore spell without expending a spell slot. If you name a specific creature when you do so, the spell grants you the following benefits:

You have advantage on spell attack rolls made against the named target.

The target has disadvantage on spell attack rolls it makes against you.

These benefits last for 24 hours or until you use this property again. Once you use this property, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you spend 5 or more sorcery points to use it again.

The most terrifying question a Fey can ask you is “May I have your name?”
