Weapon (war pick), rare (requires attunement)

A stinger plucked from the body of a freshly killed giant scorpion maintains its toxic nature long after removal. If used as a weapon this item deals an additional 1d8 poison damage. The joint of the stinger hinges inward or outward allowing this war pick to function as a quiver when not wielded as a weapon.

Noxious Sting. While not wielded as a weapon you can insert 5 arrows into this item as though it were a quiver. Over the course of a long rest, the arrows are infused with venom. These arrows deal an additional 2d4 poison damage, and the first time each turn a creature is damaged by one of these arrows it must succeed on a DC 15 constitution saving throw or take an additional 2d4 poison damage and be paralyzed for 1 minute. At the end of each of the target's turns, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to being paralyzed by the Noxious Sting effect for the next 24 hours.

One must be creative when surviving in the harsh desert sands. Practical and versatile, this war pick doubles as a quiver while stowed away. The alchemically-infused venom of the giant scorpion it was harvested from causes paralysis, making the victim an easy target. This unusual weapon makes one a deadly foe from any distance.
