A scavenged eye imbued with magic by a gouger. To attune to this item, you must be missing an eye and press the item into an empty eye socket. While attuned to this eye, you can see normally in darkness, both magical and nonmagical, to a distance of 90 feet.

Eye Beam. This eye has been imbued with the ability to fire a magical beam similar to that of a Beholder. Ten types of eye exist, each allowing you to cast a specific spell listed below as an action. The rarity of the eye determines the number of times per dawn it may be cast, the spell save DC, and which spell can be cast (only one per eye):

Uncommon (3 times, DC 14). Charm Person, Hold Person, Ray of Enfeeblement, or Sleep.

Rare (2 times, DC 15). Fear, Slow, or Telekinesis.

Very Rare (1 time, DC 16). Disintegrate, Finger of Death, or Flesh to Stone.

Once attuned to the eye, you must remove it from the socket in order to end your attunement.

In the grisly aftermath of a gouger attack, many adventurers find themselves missing an eye. However, with luck, they may find their missing piece greater than how they lost it. Gougers imbue the scavenged orbs with the power of its beholder kin, and though it is often temporary, it can sometimes remain. Once placed back into the socket, this magical gift can fire a beam of magic, replicating a beholder’s terrible gaze. From temporary pain, one can find immense power.
