The Josh and Cher thing really is weird but this is based on a book called Emma by Jane Austen and Emma ends up with her... cousin I think.

Wait, what am I missing? Why is Josh and Cher weird together? She's 18 which is age of consent in CA. Also, their parents were only briefly married and they weren't raised as siblings. It didn't hit me as weird. I hadn't seen this movie before. I think Mean Girls has more of a classic feel to it -- that stuff is still funny today. With this movie, I liked some of the 90s references but the movie doesn't feel memorable. Cool to see some now well-known actors in it. And RIP to Brittany Murphy. Kind of a blah role for her here, but she killed it in 8 Mile. What a talent and what a sad loss.

I personally prefer clueless over mean girls bc I grew up watching it and it's sm more nostalgic and iconic also I didn't watch mean girls until I was a teen. This made my day tho so I'm happy y'all watched it

pretty sure cher is 15/16, and the weird thing was that they were “eluded” as “used to be siblings type deal” in the past and gave those vibes during most of the movie. also cher is in highschool while josh is in college, which is why people think it’s weird.

I asked google her age in the show and it said 18 but now that I think about it, she didn't have her driver's license and in the 1990s, every kid got a driver's license as soon as they turned 16. So yeah, now I'm thinking she was 15/16 as you said. I learned that Paul Rudd was 25 when they filmed this. He has that forever young face. lol

I just love every time they slam down the antenna on those big ass cellphones 😂 . High school in the 90s looked fun, or at least some parts of it did.

Clueless was a quotable movie. My favorite was "Eww, get off of me. As if". Alicia Silverstone and her 11 year old son have reenacted a couple of scenes on her Tiktok and Instagram pages. I was wondering how the guys would react to seeing SLIGHTLY younger looking Paul Rudd.😊
