i gotta take a couple deep breaths to prepare me to watch this reaction😭

fun fact: the engagement party scene simone and jonathan (kate and anthony) did background stuff in the back where anthony just looked at kate while she was doing viscountess duties while his brothers were talking and he wasn’t listening, he was just admiring his wife and when anthony was with violet and lady danbury kate and anthony held hands when she was passing by! and when colin was talking about being in the mud with your future bride anthony and kate looked at each other because of their scene in the mud!!

FYI, £5,000 adjusted for inflation and converted to USD is $602,742.53. Keep that in mind.

the song playing during their schmexy scene was ‘pov’ by ariana grande, it’s such a great song!

abby (or shelby lol) popping her head into the screen was the cutest thing ive ever seen🥲

I love the chaos of this episode so much

Even though Portia was being extremely rude, I do think her concern was partly coming from a good place. From her perspective, Colin and Penelope mysteriously got engaged after spending the night together alone, unchaperoned, which suggests something physical happened between them. If Colin were to change his mind as he had done before, Penelope’s reputation would be ruined.

This episode has my favourite really subtle Cressida and Penelope foreshadowing moment. At the engagement party, when Colin starts his speech, Penelope is front and centre, which is an unusual place for her to be standing, while Cressida moves away from everyone and stands alone in the corner near the wall. It’s almost as if she’s taking Penelope’s place as a wallflower, foreshadowing the end of the episode when she steals Penelope’s identity as Whistledown.

Also, just a suggestion but after you guys have reacted to the last episode this season, you should react to the sneak peak for season 4!! It’s from the Valentine’s Day event they had earlier this year. Could even be a patreon exclusive.

In the books. Anthony was overprotective of Penelope, and I love that they did a callback in the books when Benedict says “are you going to duel with your own brother?” Anthony being the big brother he is 👏🏽💗

Blake, come over to the Polin side. We have cookies (jk love Kanthony too). Just know when the Youtube vid becomes public, I'm letting my Polin friends that Igli is one of us when I share it. Corey, I'm not sure who you ship, or maybe it hasn't happened yet but you gotta tell us. The actors who play Pen and Colin are friends irl and the mirror scene really reflects (haha pun) the trust they have in each other as actors. Only a few more eps until you're caught up with the rest of us! I'll be looking forward to your reacts, thanks guys!

Yesss and it worked so well with this scene

Legit almost cried when Colin told off Lady Featherington 😭. That was such a win for Penelope who never had anyone on her side. He’s been my favorite brother from the beginning and Polin are my absolute favorite.

I loved that scene with Colin and Penelope. I thought it was well done and beautiful and tender.
