I like what the female cop had to say about Jamie's "reason" and how society puts the male perpetrators at the forefront whenever there's a female victim. The male cop tried to water it down to Jamie being "bullied", when even though Katie was being a bit crass in her delivery, she was calling him out in his comments on those posts of him being weird about women as a way to warn other girls. What we know about Jamie is that he posts sexually aggressive comments about women, follows Andrew Tate/manosphere stuff, and wanted to "scare" Katie with a knife, followed her, and eventually killed her. As for Jamie being adamant about not doing anything wrong, we just saw footage of him stabbing a girl to death. He's not above lying at that point.

In addition to the last point you made, I think many people are shocked that this is a 13 year old boy, until he acts like a 13 year old boy. Then they seem confused. Most 13 years olds will lie when backed into a corner after doing something seriously wrong (even if he claims he did nothing wrong, he knows it’s illegal). Adults do it all the time. I would expect a young teen to, even more so. The impulse control is next to none at that age. You add that in with the info we’ve received so far and it all makes a lot of sense.

The BHS on how they filmed this episode (and all of them tbh) is really cool. I suggest watching it when you’re done with the series if you’re interested in the filmmaking process!

@Katie Good point! I was going to say that too; he's a kid who has been pushed into a corner that he cannot fully comprehend. The fact that he went home and went to bed as if nothing had happened. He seriously must have done a lot of mental gymnastics and self-gaslighting.

Loved that ending shot. I found out the song playing was a version of a song by Sting called Fragile. The choir was from that school. I thought British schools were classier than American schools. Do these students always behave that way, or were they that way because of the murder. When the fire alarm went off, the teacher mentioned that the previous year someone set off fireworks in a classroom. It reminded me of a news story a few days ago where two guys were arrested for setting off fireworks inside a Harvard medical building.

about adam being tall. middle school isnt really much of a thing in the uk so often times you start secondary school/high school at around 11 and finish around 16. so jaime and adam are in the same school but adam is much older.

Unfortunately, very accurate for British schools 💀 The teachers are underpaid and overworked so the kids run the school more than the school runs them often
