blake, this is the most book accurate event in the show. Helaena does kill herself in the book and they have done a great job adapting the book that is only depicting events.

Also, Rhaenyra did not hand Ulf a dragon. The dragon chose him. Are we forgetting how the sowing of the seeds happened in S2?

“Helaena Targaryen, sister, wife, and queen to King Aegon II and mother of his children, threw herself from her window in Maegor’s Holdfast to die impaled upon the iron spikes that lined the dry moat below. She was but one-and-twenty.” — Helaena’s death in the book. It happens after learning that her youngest son Maelor (the one she’s pregnant with in the show) was ripped apart by townspeople trying to return him to Rhaenyra for the bounty she offered.

I think this is more tragic given she felt she could not escape at all.

I really don’t think there’s a green versus black anymore, especially when in fighting began within the factions. Over half the people on team black is pissed off with Rhaenyra. And she could even lose Daemon. That exchange with his daughter was not good. Baela is his favorite. I am no longer on Rhaenyra’s side and I don’t understand how anyone can still be. Especially after this episode. I still love people on team black but Rhaenyra, no. Definitely not. That said, this Rhaenyra is entertaining to watch. I really enjoyed this season. It was way better than season two. Hopefully the final season is good and not rushed. I’m am worried that it might be rushed.

Totally team Rhaenyra. This is her arc. Aegon having some development does not automatically make him a good king. At least she has tried all season to make good with the shitty hand she was dealt with. Aegon has destroyed Team Green every single time from firing Otto to having Synfyre get attacked.

I don’t think either are good rulers. This is a show full of terrible people. I do like Aegon’s character better, a surprising turn from S1/S2 for me. While he is a villain, he owns it. I do think that he grew up a bit this season, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to be a good person. Rhaenyra thinks that she’s a hero, the prince who was promised. She believes her own propaganda. And this is why I can’t be in her corner. She doesn’t know who she is. And what she did to Helaena was trash. Daemon is not a good person either, has done terrible things. But he knows who he is and that is why I like his character.

That's because her father told her the prophecy. She believes it is her which is far more exciting than a villain who for half the season couldn't grasp the fact he was merely a peasant wandering the woods That's not knowing or owning anything. Love his character too but suggesting rhaenyra doesn't know who she is when her whole bloodline leads to that very prophetic person is absurd. She has every right to feel that, no matter how wrong she might be. Aegon keeps thinking he is the rightful ruler but guess you have no problem with that Rhaenyra deffo knows who she is, she just didnt wanna burn people for the longest time but hey what a monster not wanting to burn people, right? Daemon knows who he is, so does rhaenyra What a shit take this is

Soooo many treasons in Tumbleton. Love watching these with you guys! Can't support the crash outs she's having, but dont you have to be on team "fulfill the prophecy"? I loathe Aegon but that scene was effing GREAT! Im seriously side-quest type intrigued with Alice Rivers. And there went the one decent human in this whole damn show. RIP Heleana.
