In the first Avengers, when they were fighting in the lab, Steve said that Tony would never be the one to put himself on the line, to make the big sacrifice. Tony proved him wrong, time and time again, until he made the ultimate sacrifice. I'm a Cap girl thru and thru, but that has always stuck with me.
