Even as I stared, shocked at one Petra Parker, my earpiece chimed an insistent beep, and I tapped it numbly.

“LeBeau,” Fury’s dulcet voice greeted me with no prelude, “We got something; a quinjet is en route to your location.”

“Now’s not a great time, mon ami,” I attempted to say, only to be steamrolled by the man instantly.

“We have another situation,” the man said gruffly.

“Monsieur Hulk?” I asked instantly, concern stirring within me.

“Something else. Details will be given en route,” Nick Fury said gruffly before hanging up.

I frowned, and I looked guilty at Petra, who was looking at me with no small amount of confusion.

“I thought you were a solo operator?” she asked.

I shook my head, thinking rapidly, “Mon amour, this Gambit is gainfully employed; you should be putting on your adorable mask now, Remy thinks.”

She pulled her covering back over her head, leaving her lower jaw free. “By who?” she asked.

A low roar emerged as a quinjet soared next to us, the back panel opening to reveal its cavernous interior.

I shrugged, giving the open-mouthed girl a sheepish smile. “Even a tief like Remy needs healthcare,” I said before my smile dipped and I looked seriously at the girl. “Remy doesn’t like leaving like this, but his boss sounds far too serious.”

Petra bit her lip, looking at me seriously. “Are you going to be okay?” she asked softly.

I grinned. “Remy not be dying easily, but he appreciates the concern from a beautiful femme.”

Her cheeks colored lightly, but she still looked concerned at me before she stood up on tiptoes, wrapping her arms around my neck, her warm breath gently brushing against my face.

“Promise me, Remy,” she murmured quietly.

My grin faded from its natural brightness to something that I hated, far too warm and emotional. I leaned down, brushing my lips against her cheek. “Remy promises to be on his best behavior,” I murmured quietly into her ear.

“You’re a thief,” she whispered back into my ear.

“Your tief,” I replied, enjoying the startled tightening around my neck, before slipping away and easily leaping onto the back of the Quinjet, glancing back for a moment to look at an impassive mask before stepping inside as the ramp closed and we began to accelerate through the sky.

Inside sat the serious-looking Phil Coulson, whose eyes flickered back the way I had come, something soft and warm in them.

“Didn’t take you for a committed man,” Phil remarked.

“Dis tief isn’t sure himself,” I shook my head, sitting next to the man as he handed me a tablet, “Whatchu got for Remy?”

I began to scroll, stopping almost instantly as I spotted a silvery hammer embedded in rock.

“Mon dieu,” I muttered.

-

I paced the area around the hammer for lack of anything better to do, humming to myself as the air practically vibrated with energy.

“What can you tell us, Remy?” Phil asked, standing off to the side, seemingly entirely unflustered by the situation, if I couldn’t feel his heart nervously beating in his chest.

“Does this tief look like a scientist to you?” I looked crossly at the man before turning to regard the hammer again, feeling each step I took reverberate through the energy of the area.

Curiosity warred within me as I paced closer to the hammer curiously, before gently setting my hand on top of the handle and drumming my fingers across it.

I had taken enough objects to know this one wouldn’t be willing, not for a guy like me.

I turned, crossing my arms, shaking my head wryly, “Only two people in dis world gonna be moving this thing, I tell you mon ami, and none of em are going to do this for you.”

“I thought you were strong?” Phil said curiously, not really antagonizing.

“It ain’t strength, mon ami,” I gave the man a soft smile, “It's something more important than that.”

-

They woke me up at an ungodly hour of the night and bundled me into an interrogation room to look at the person who had broken in, apparently going for the hammer.

The first thing I did when I entered the room was gesture at her cuffs, and they snapped open in sparking violet even as I felt Phil stiffen behind the mirror.

The golden-haired captured god regarded me strangely from across the table, and I smiled cheerfully at her as I held out a beer to the woman while I popped open my own beer at the table with a smooth motion.

“I am sorry,” I winced in seeming realization, “The beer they keep in this ‘orrible place is little more than swill, but please, it is not so bad to not drink altogether.”

The woman nodded slowly and made no move for the beer.

“My name is Remy,” I cocked my head to the side, “And rarely have I seen such a visage of beauty,” I said, winking at her, smiling to hide my internal panic that I was talking to a woman- wait, that wasn’t right- that I was talking to this particular woman-

That wasn’t right either; Remy LeBeau was afraid of no femme!

“Thora,” she shrugged her shoulders awkwardly, her expression downcast, “Of no consequence to you and yours.”

I restrained my surprise; I hadn’t expected her to talk; I hadn’t expected anything really.

I clapped my hands cheerfully and looked toward the one-way window that Phil and his associates stood behind. “I have solved the mystery, mon amie, as I have discovered this delightful creature's identity.”

I felt Phil’s eye twitch subtly behind the mirror, and my smile widened purposely so the man would see it before I looked seriously at the defeated Thora covered in mud with some cuts and a beginning to swell jaw.

“Belle, do not take this the wrong way, but I believe your somewhat rightful worries over the state of this artifact, even considering your own work; I will say it was entirely uncalled for to beat those men outside so savagely, they could not help their own lack of ability.”

Thora blinked before a small smile flickered across her lips. “You are an amusing one; I find you more pleasant than Phil Coul’s son.”

I nodded seriously at her. “Et es not his fault,” I shook my head sadly before leaning forward to whisper conspiratorially, “He es an indelicate instrument to present before a belle like you.”

“You are an amusing man,” Thora said, and even in the despair I saw a small lightness filling her, her lips turning upward.

“Remy hopes you will not hold it against him,” I shrugged easily.

Phil Coulson stiffened from behind the glass, and I was unable to fully restrain my smile. Nick Fury had let me talk first, and I could tell they probably wouldn’t be making that decision again.

-

Coulson looked at me. “You’re buying the scientist line,” he said bluntly.

I smiled cheerfully, watching as Thora was escorted out by Selvig. “I will be going into town to relax from a long, arduous mission.”

“You’ve done nothing,” Coulson said sternly.

“It was a very difficult nothing, mon ami,” I smiled.

-

I watched as the people of the town fled, slipping a coffee I had poured for myself after having left a ten-dollar bill on the counter as Martin Selvig walked past me, extorting people to leave.

I walked out into the street calmly sipping from my mug as I made toward the center of the town, aiming to meet the massive surge of kinetic energy stomping through it.

I arrived on scene just as two men in strange armor threw a third dressed in equally strange armor at the giant metal robot, who then proceeded to smack that man across the face, sending him flying into a car, breaking the windshield and denting the frame.

The armored thing stepped forward, its helmet opening, and thermal energy swelled within it only to halt abruptly as a woman came down from above, impaling the robot with a spear, and I felt the energy subside slightly before it began to build again even as the woman made a contented sound.

I started running even as the helmet swiveled around and unleashed a concentrated thermal beam of energy behind it, and the woman rolled to the side, running back with her companions calling a retreat.

Another beam was building, and I stepped forward, bringing my arms together as violet light rippled from them as I caught the beam, dispersing the energy as it hit me, returning it to building potential inside of me, causing the air around me to flare violet.

Humans and other people who were like humans, except for their far stronger hearts and overall energies, halted in shock as they looked at me; Thora, who had raced to them, halted, looking in surprise at me.

“I- Remy?” she blurted out, staring at me in shock before turning to look at the humans. “I thought this world had no one of ability,” she said in wonder.

She shook her head and walked forward, and I could see her aiming to intercept the robot, staring at me with quiet, stern blue eyes. “This is no fight for mortals,” she said, shaking her head and continuing toward the robot.

I frowned at her, wanting to reply, but there was a certain presence, almost solemnity, about her.

“Sister, whatever I have done to wrong you, whatever I have done to lead you to this, I am truly sorry, but these people are innocent; taking their lives will gain you nothing.” She stopped in front of the metal creature as its face opened and heat began to build. “So take mine and end this.”

The robot stopped its formerly open face plate from closing, but I felt whatever energy within it was still building.

I could get there in time; I knew it.

But then there would never be a Thora again.

My body disobeyed my conscious thoughts; I leaped forward, not intending the motion in the slightest, a heartbeat too late, even as the robot turned and then backhanded Thora across the street.

Seconds too late, my buildup of kinetic charge lashed forward into a fist blasting the robot down the street, blowing apart the pavement as it flew.

I panted, glancing back even as Thora's friends cried out in shock, one of them beginning to rush forward even as I felt the air burn around me as another kind of charge entirely began to build up, lighting up the street with electrical blue crackles even as I felt the high-speed rocketing of the hammer towards us.

It came down, and electricity erupted in a massive beam, lighting up the street.

Thora stood once more upright, clad in armor, a fierce smile across her face, blonde hair blowing back in a curtain as the air began to stir.

I felt the world light up as the world around us was pumped full of energy, and storm-darkened clouds began to stir the air, sweeping around us in a circling pattern as lightning began to flicker.

I kicked off the air and soared back as Thora shot into the air, pulling the robot with her in a storm of electrical current before shooting downward a massive electrical beam, blowing it apart in a storm of metal, touching back down on the ground, the air stopping its stirring.

She turned back to her friends, seemingly disregarding me for the moment. “Loki must be dealt with,” she said, shaking her head, a deep frown on her face.

“Excuse me,” Phil called out from where he had pulled up, walking up to us with a frown, “Thora, was it? I don’t think you’ve been entirely honest with me.”

“Know this, son of Coul,” Thora interrupted, “Know we are allies in our fight for the protection of this world.” She turned to me, frowning, “There are things I must attend to on Asgard, but you are still a mystery to me, human.”

I smiled cheerfully, masking unease because I knew how this was supposed to go, what Thora’s sister was attempting.

I didn’t want to go; I didn’t want to leave my home to potentially strand myself far away across the galaxy.

But there were people who were going to die before this was over; they weren’t mutants, humans, or Asgardians, but they were still people.

Could I really just sit back and do nothing?

Thora seemed to be warring with herself as she looked at me. “You are a great warrior from what I have seen,” she bowed her head. “I know it is wrong to ask it of you, but I need your help.”

Ah fuck.

“Remy never says no to a femme,” I winked at her, though Thora did not fluster or look perturbed, merely smiling warmly and gratefully at me.

“Thank you, my friend,” she grasped me firmly on the shoulder, her strength casually carrying through far more than a normal human could handle.

-

We appeared in a massive golden hemisphere after traveling a rainbow bridge of light. Thora stepped forward, telling the other Asgardians to get a collapsed man, whom I assumed to be Heimdall, to the healing room.

“Leave my sister to me.” She growled and then shot from the room, followed rapidly by the other Asgardians taking the collapsed man on their shoulders.

I stepped to the side of the room, crossing my arms, resigning myself to the most important duty.

It was not more than several minutes later that I felt a new, unfamiliar person galloping across the bridge on something like a horse. She dismounted and began to march into the room only to pause and turn to look at me, an elegant face and dark hair with eyes maddened by something beyond my understanding.

“A human,” she grunted before gesturing with her spear at me.

I didn’t try to halt the beam, merely letting it glance to the side of me, incarnating the wall.

I stepped calmly in front of her, crossing my arms. “Remy doesn’t think he’ll be liking what you’re doing, so for your sake he’ll ask you to stop.”

“What gumption from a mortal,” the woman snarled and swung her spear at me. I let the blade skate off my left arm, which I had raised to block, before driving my right fist forward, and violet flashed, sending her flying back the way she had come.

I smiled, but it didn’t reach my eyes as I regarded the woman who slowly rose to her feet, glaring at me.

“Out of the way, worm,” she spat.

“Remy thinks you should reconsider,” I shook my head. “It ain’t Remy’s place to say, but Remy believes your sister loves you; a throne ain’t worth that.”

“The Throne of Asgard should be mine by right,” Loki whispered, glaring at me coldly.

Thora flew up from behind her, and Loki spun, glaring at her sister.

“Loki, stop this madness,” Thora barked out.

She, of course, as was her wont, did not.

-

I regarded the blonde-haired woman moving about the feasting halls with a sad half smile on her face, returned from having met with her father, and our eyes met, and blue widened in surprise.

She walked up to me and then, by collective acknowledgment, we walked to one of the balconies.

“I did not expect a mortal to be able to stop a god,” Thora admitted quietly, and I gave the woman a warm smile.

“For a Belle such as yourself, no feat is too great,” I replied, grinning, leaning back against the balcony.

Thora hummed, shaking her head in seeming amusement, though I could still see the marks of strain on her face as she leaned on the stone balcony, her hands folding across each other.

“Me thinks your sister survived,” I smiled faintly, “While she may have fallen from the bridge, that distortion she entered did not destroy her life energy.”

Survived to later invade my home, unfortunately.

Thora nodded solemnly, “In my heart I know Loki has survived for better or for worse of the universe,” she murmured quietly.

“Belle,” I shook my head, smiling sadly at the beautiful blonde woman, “You cannot blame yourself for your sister's flaws.”

Thora turned to glare at me. “She was my responsibility. I do not know what brought her to this, but I know who is to blame.”

I crossed my arms, frowning at her even as she remained downcast. I had a feeling I would make no further progress right now.

“What did you think of Earth?” I asked.

Thora looked surprised before something approaching warmth once more reentered her face. “Different than I remembered. I did not remember her having defenders such as yourself either.”

She looked curiously at me.

I shrugged easily, “Remy’s the kind of guy with a nose for trouble,” I said quietly, before looking at her, “Remy thinks you’re a little like that too.”

Thora smiled warmly and then suddenly reached out, wrapping me in a massive hug, squeezing me tightly. “You are a brave man, Remy LeBeau. If you ever have need of me, I will be by your side, even in the end days.”

Slowly, almost cautiously, I returned Thora’s hug, smiling a bit despite myself.

-

Ann Marie, or Rogue as she now called herself, hummed to herself as she flipped through a worn paperback novel, the hum of a familiar engine in the distance causing her to smile as she hung in her hammock, her eyes half lidded as she pulled them up from the paper to see Remy’s usual fire red car pull to a stop.

Out of the vehicle stepped Remy before he walked around the side of it, pulled the car door open, and held out a hand for a pretty petite woman with short brown hair and warm brown eyes to step out, looking around in interest.

Rogue bit her lip slightly, and while her stomach distorted oddly, she didn’t feel as annoyed as she thought she would seeing another woman with Remy.

Remy turned towards her, hands on his hips, before he gestured vaguely at her, and Rogue sighed and rolled her eyes even as she rolled out of the hammock and began to walk towards them, aware that she was wearing an oversized flannel and short jean shorts as her hair fell in a mess of curls around her head.

When she came in range where she wouldn’t have to shout, she grinned at Remy, though she let her eyes drift curiously over to the other woman before they returned to him. “Didn’t think you’d be here today, sugah,” she drawled.

Remy shrugged, though Rogue caught the unease of the motion as he smiled faintly before his eyes widened in realization. “You’ve stolen Remy’s shirt!” he gestured accusatorily at her.

Rogue stepped forward and deliberately reached a hand up, patting his cheek a couple of times, savoring the warmth of his skin on her hand as she did so. “Sure did, sugah. How’s it look on me?” she asked, amusement curling her lips upward.

Remy’s face paled a bit as he glanced at the other woman who was smiling broadly and shaking her head.

“It looks wonderful, Cher; red is truly your color,” he smiled warmly at her.

Rogue raised an eyebrow, an amused smile drifting onto her face. “You think so, sugah?” she drawled, leaning in so her breath brushed across his face.

Remy nodded his head firmly, though she noted it was a bit jerkier than usual. “Cher, you think we could go inside and talk? Remy has some words he’d like to say.”

Rogue nodded, and normally those words might throw her into a fit and cause her gut to twist, but she also knew Remy was a gentle guy; he was doing everything he could to be honest in this moment, and she didn’t want to throw that back at him.

They walked inside, settling into one of the parlor areas, Petra settling easily, lying back on a couch while Rogue dropped herself into a chair, her knees drawn up to her chest. Remy stood looking out the window for a moment till he turned around to look seriously at all of them.

“Remy believes that he should begin first,” he took a deep breath, his confident smile fading, “Remy’s a no good tief and he likes taking things that don’t belong to him,” he then looked seriously at both of them in turn, “Remy doesn’t two-time though and he’s played with both of your hearts, for that he’s sorry.”

Rogue glanced at the other girl, “What’s your story hun?” she asked.

The brown-haired girl shrugged a bit awkwardly, “I’m Petra Parker,” she said, “Remy and I met a while ago, and we became-“ she hesitated- “friends?” she looked questioningly at Remy.

“I’m right here, hun,” Rogue chided, shaking her head. “My name’s Anna Marie, but you can call me Rogue,” she hummed to herself. “Remy pulled me out of a bad situation once; he’s actually done a bit of that. The thing is, I’m a mutant like Remy is.”

Petra cocked her head to the side in interest. “Remy’s talked a bit about that before, some kind of humans who develop abilities naturally,” she said.

Rogue nodded. “My ability,” she scowled lightly, “Absorbs the abilities of other people I touch; Remy is the only person I’ve met who can touch me.”

Petra nodded, and Rogue was surprised to see genuine sympathy in the other girl’s eyes. “That’s not all of it, is it?” she asked gently.

Rogue frowned, a little uncomfortable being seen through so easily. “He’s easy on the eyes,” she shrugged carelessly and then looked away from all of them. “And he’s kind,” she murmured quietly. “He always drops by to check on me, makes sure I’m happy; he’s saved my life on a couple of occasions. What kind of girl would I be if I didn’t feel something?” She turned back to look at Petra challengingly.

Petra raised her hands in a calming gesture. “I get it,” Rogue scowled at her, and Petra smiled faintly. “Remy’s done a lot for me too; he’s easy to love.”

Rogue startled back, as did Remy, who looked at Petra, surprised, and Petra flushed a bit under their gazes but looked unrepentant. “I’m not apologizing,” she said, looking at Remy firmly. “You’re in your head, big guy; listen to the girl.”

Rogue’s heart startled in her chest as she looked at the woman who seemingly had offered her a way to speak.

She didn’t know what to feel, but she turned to Remy. “I don’t love you because I can touch you,” she said quietly. “I don’t love you for anything you haven’t done. You made being Anna Marie bearable. I don’t want to lose that.”

Remy startled, his smile long gone, a small, soft frown on his face, looking very unlike him, “Mon Cher,” he blinked, “Chers?” he frowned in thought and shook his head, and something changed about him, no longer casual, direct, serious as he looked at them, “I am lost on what to do from here,” he admitted shrugging awkwardly, “Remy may be a no good tief, but he doesn’t want to steal either of your hearts-“

Petra rolled her eyes before she made a gesture, pressing what looked like a watch on her wrist, and a web slammed into Remy’s mouth before she turned back to Rogue.

“You really want this fool of a man?” she asked seriously.

Rogue nodded quietly back at the other woman.

Petra yawned, stretching her limbs out. “Then I guess we’re at the actual hard work,” she said, smiling faintly at Rogue, “Of making an honest man out of this one.”

Rogue released a small breath, warmth flickering in her gut while at the same time the edging thought remained.

Was she just the second choice?

-

Petra fiddled with a massive holographic array that she was seconds away from deleting entirely.

Work for Stark Industries was in some measures incredibly rewarding and in other measures beyond frustrating.

After her interview, she had been assigned to work on electrical systems that could transfer and sustain a power grid for the rest of New York. As months wore on it seemed the only oversight she had was-

He swept into the room, and her nose faintly twitched at the smell of alcohol as the man walked toward her with the air of a man who owned the whole building.

Which he did, but that wasn’t the point.

“Parker,” he called out cheerfully, “What’s the good news from my best?”

Petra turned to look at the man, a smile sliding onto her face. “Should I tell Ms. Potts you said that?”

Tony Stark grinned warmly. “You’re my best scientist,” he said, gesturing at her before pointing up, “She’s the best at actually running the business; they’re two separate things.” he smiled, a natural, flirtatious edge to it, but Petra had long learned the man simply couldn’t help himself.

It didn’t really bother her; she had been flirted with for so long by her boyfriend that Tony Stark didn’t even faze her.

She blinked and turned around; in one of the corners of her room, Remy emerged, yawning, probably having taken a nap on the bed she kept in here for when she needed it, and completely disregarding the fact that she hadn’t known he was here in the first place.

Remy blinked sleepily, his crimson eyes opening though his sclera were for once white, a pair of contacts that Petra had cooked up for the man so he wouldn’t stand out as much on his request; he was also shirtless, muscles thickly woven about his torso.

Both Petra and Tony Stark looked at him.

“He’s my boyfriend-“ she tried.

“Gambit!” Tony exclaimed, looking bewildered.

Tony stepped forward, looking at the man in shock. “You’re the guy who pulled me out of the desert in Afghanistan,” he said, shocked.

What? Petra looked at Remy, who had a sheepish smile on his face.

“Your assistant, Madame Potts, had requested my aid,” he demurred, shaking his head.

Tony shook his head. “Right, you’re with SHIELD?”

Petra raised an eyebrow as she looked at Remy, who was beginning to wilt under the other man’s enthusiasm.

“Yes, Monsieur,” Remy finally said, nodding his head, “I am glad to see you in better health-“

Tony laughed, shaking his head, seemingly bewildered. “And what do you have to do with Ms. Parker?” he asked.

Petra finally spoke again, attempting to reassert a bit of control over the situation. “He’s my boyfriend, Mr. Stark,” she finished her earlier sentence.

Tony turned to look at her, bewildered. “You know he’s a government spook, right?” he said firmly, and while Petra appreciated the concern in his eyes, it only made her feel more awkward.

“Monsieur Stark,” Remy said seriously, “There is not a thing that Petra does not know about me.”

Tony raised an eyebrow, turning back to Petra with evident confusion in his gaze. “I’m serious, Parker. My memories are not the best from my escape, but I’m pretty certain this guy dealt with his fair share of members of the Ten Rings.”

Petra smiled awkwardly, shaking her head, trying to figure out how to assuage Tony’s worries. “So have you, Mr. Stark,” she pointed out.

Tony blinked as if he hadn’t really thought about it before he nodded his head. “Point,” he grinned again, “Pepper wanted dinner, and I see two people as dinner guests.”

Petra’s cheeks reddened even more as she looked miserably to the side at her work, even as Remy blinked sleepily again.

Oh god, this couldn’t get worse.

-

“And then I tell these men, what do you mean you don’t know me, I was acquainted with your mere’s just last night.”

Tony Stark laughed.

Pepper Potts’ eyes widened in shock as she tried to suppress a smile.

Petra Parker covered her face in horror.

-

Rogue blinked, looking up as metal spears shot towards her. She had a moment for her eyes to widen before she felt Remy’s hand grasping hers and a gentle whisper of, “Push out mon chere.”

The world became violet as the metal was blown backward, sending Magneto flying back, rolling across the ground as he ragdolled away.

-

Rogue stood with arms crossed, a faint smile on her face as Remy moved about the kitchen, the familiar smell of Deep South cooking filling her nostrils even as the X-Men, such as they were, sat crowded around the table. Scott was serious as usual. Jean Grey’s eyes flickering over toward them occasionally. Kurt had a warm smile on his blue-furred face. Logan was sitting at the table idly chewing on a cigar he hadn’t yet lit. Storm, as usual, was impassive. Professor Xavier sat at the head of the table, smiling warmly at the X-Men before him.

“I do not wish to overstate it, but we made progress today,” Professor Xavier said. “We took another step forward while preventing the Brotherhood from achieving its goals.”

Remy chuckled merrily as he tossed all of their dishes into the air, seemingly with reckless disregard, even though they slid through the air to land gently on the table in front of them.

“It was as you say, Professor, entertaining,” Remy shook his head cheerfully. “But I promise on a tieve’s honor that this gumbo will be much more rewarding.”

Rogue caught all the glances towards Remy, the irritation fading to warmth, the amusement, the comfort at his presence.

Professor Xavier dipped his head toward Remy. “As you say then, young man,” he said warmly, “I did not expect to receive SHIELDS assistance.”

There was a question there, but Remy just shrugged. “Let’s say they owed Remy a favor,” he shrugged smilingly.

Their meal dissolved into warm conversation, but eventually, as enough eyes turned away from them, Rogue’s hand slipped into Remy’s and her heart shook as she grasped his warm palm. He looked at her, surprised, and she gestured with her head away from the table.

Remy nodded, and together they left, stepping out of the mansion. Rogue took a deep breath, still maintaining a tight hold on Remy’s hand, savoring it.

“Thanks for having dinner with us, Remy,” she said softly.

Remy frowned before he stepped in closer, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. “You worried me today when you were fighting fem,” he shifted the topic instantly. “You almost got hit by that,” he frowned, shaking his head. “Magneto?” he said almost disbelievingly.

“Strange name ain't it darling,” Rogue shook her head, looking seriously at the Cajun thief, “I had you, Remy,” Rogue smiled softly, “So I knew I was going to be okay,” she looked seriously at the man, before she hesitated.

“I ain’t never kissed anyone cept a boy back home and that,” she shook the memories away, “Didn’t go so well, I was wonderin-“

Gambit smiled gently at her, “Why don’t you steal from a tief?” he asked.

Rogue smiled despite herself and stood on tiptoes, “Cause I’m worried he’ll take it back,” before she pressed her lips gently against Gambit's, her own carefully applied lipstick red lips pushing against his as she pressed herself against him needily, her original intent for something chase dissolving as she pressed herself tighter against him, her heart fluttering erratically in her chest.

-

I blinked awake as my senses were startled by a familiar presence making its way in through my window, even as another presence stepped out of the elevator headed toward my penthouse door.

I lay still in my bed contemplating how I had gotten into this situation.

Though I didn’t resent it.

I let myself lie still even as I felt Petra drop gently onto the floor on the right side of my bed, even as Rogue approached from the opposite side, her fingers trailing my face, flickers of my internal energy streaming into her.

Rogue then seized my left arm, pulling it to the side even as Petra gently seized my right arm and pulled it the opposite direction.

I kept my amusement contained as each of them gently locked my wrists to their respective poster of my bed.

“Remy is beginning to think he’s been either very bad or very good,” I spoke, amused as each girl startled slightly.

My eyes flicked open as the room lit up in a warm, sultry glow.

Petra stood on her side with her mask off, her arms crossed on her stomach, looking at me with a raised eyebrow.

Rogue’s gaze was shyly averted, though her hand was still locked to my forearm.

“A girl only waits so long,” Rogue said quietly, as she pulled her thick sweater off herself, exposing soft-looking pale skin and a pale white laced bra.

Petra smiled easily before tapping the spider symbol on her chest, causing the suit to suddenly go loose; that did little to hide her shapely hips swaying from side to side before she pulled her own top off, revealing breasts that were only a handful, pale nipples indenting them, hiding from their surroundings.

My heart thumped in my chest, perhaps a bit more excited than usual, but I attempted to maintain my cool.

Even in the face of great odds, Gambit never folded.

Petra shimmied out of her leggings, revealing spectacular but slim pale hips only covered by a pale white lacy thong.

Rogue was not so far behind her, stripping out of her blue jeans, revealing her own curvaceous pair of hips, which were paired with another white lacy thong.

Rogue glanced at Petra with a raised eyebrow, “You really don’t wear a bra in that costume.”

Petra shrugged, smiling casually, “It’s compression wear, and it would mess with the lines of the costume.”

Rogue shrugged before she unclipped her bra, letting it fall away to reveal her own pale orb hanging there with cherry red nipples, which under my gaze began to harden and crinkle.

“You like that sugah?” she purred, kneeling onto the bed and beginning to crawl up it on her hands and knees, her movements a little uncertain but growing steadier as she watched my eyes on her.

“I think he does,” Petra followed up, acrobatically flipping herself onto the bed on the opposite side of me and beginning to make her own way up, stroking along the hard muscles of my leg idly, though they were still hidden by my blankets.

“Remy didn’t think he’d be cuffed in his own bed,” I observed, trying to stall for time.

“Oh, Remy,” Petra purred as she arrived by my ear, lying down by the side, staring at me with half-lidded eyes. “I told you I’d catch you eventually,” she murmured before she pressed a soft, wet kiss to my cheek.

Rogue tugged down gently on the sheet covering me, revealing the fact that I only had a pair of black boxers to protect my dignity, along with a visible dent in them as I began to harden.

“Is this for us?” Rogue asked with well-acted innocent curiosity, looking up at me with a sultry smile.

“Awww, you shouldn’t have,” Petra purred into my ear, beginning to stroke along my abdomen, trailing over the muscle idly.

I blinked as it occurred to me this must be, in part, what these two felt with my over-the-top flirtations, which meant, in a sense, this was likely my just desserts.

Oh.

-

Petra’s gut could not twist any tighter as she looked down at Remy, her hand idly playing off his skin, poking and prodding at him as she pleased, even as she directed Remy’s stunned faced to one of her breasts, gasping slightly as she felt him capture one of her nipples, the flesh tightening in his warm mouth and becoming erect as he nipped gently at it.

She purred even as she looked down at Remy’s lower body as Rogue attempted to remove Remy’s boxers with not so much skill as raw determination, only for her eyes to widen and plush red lips open in surprise as she succeeded and Remy’s mast became apparent.

Petra’s own eyes widened in surprise and a bit of consternation.

He had been hiding this from her?

She decided to punish him for the surprise by pinching his ear. “How the hell did you hide this from me, Remy?” she murmured, pressing him tighter to her breast, and he renewed his focus on increasing the suction on her nipple and causing her to gasp despite herself as the nerves in her breast lit up, sending hot electrical currents through her.

He let up for a moment, retreating slightly. “As a gentleman, I would never talk about something so private.”

Petra hissed, her nails sinking into his skin. “I meant I’ve seen those tight pants you wear; it’s not- mmmm- possible,” she groaned.

“Perhaps it is my mutant ability,” Remy chuckled, only to release a staggered breath as Rogue seemingly took their conversation as a challenge and drew a long line of warm wet saliva with her tongue up Remy’s shaft.

Petra looked down to see a slyly grinning Rogue from above Remy’s shaft, giving both of them a coquettish emerald wink.

“You are testing Remy’s self-control,” Remy remarked conversationally before Rogue placed her cherry red lips on the head and then slowly began to push her head down the length of his shaft even while her green eyes locked onto Remy’s.”

“Mon dieu,” Remy muttered, seemingly lost for words, as Rogue managed to take half the length of his shaft before pulling back and rubbing her throat a bit awkwardly, shaking her head. “That was more difficult than I thought it would be,” she remarked, her lips wet from her saliva, before she returned to gently lick along his shaft like a cat in long, efficient strokes.

Petra grinned as she felt Remy flex his arms before he seemed to consciously prevent himself from snapping the cuffs attached to his wrists.

Petra bent down, freeing her now extremely hard nipple from Remy’s mouth and nipped at his neck, giggling as Remy cursed quietly under his breath.

It was Rogue who spoke now, having removed her mouth, gently stroking up and down his length with a soft, warm hand, seemingly awed by the sensation. “Aww, is the big bad Remy LeBeau having trouble restraining himself?” she cooed, her accent thickened to full force, “Is he perhaps wanting to use us, ruin us for anyone else?”

Gambit growled, but he shook his head, “Non, I am too much of a gentleman, mon amour.”

Petra looked at Rogue and nodded her head firmly, “He needs to break, please, after you, Rogue,” she grinned.

Rogue's lips widened in a fierce smile as she crawled up Gambit’s body, settling her still white, lacy-covered mons against Remy’s dick, now thoroughly soaked through, revealing pink, engorged flesh beneath it.

She dragged her white lacy panty-covered pubic mound over Remy as she stared at the man with dark emerald eyes.

“I don’t- ah- know,” she hummed, shaking her head, though she was panting heavily as she did so, “How could ah give my purity to such a brutish man who doesn’t tell me how much he wants us? How will ah know that my honor will still be there in the morning?”

Petra grinned, shaking her head. “She makes a good point, Remy,” she giggled, staring down into Remy’s fascinating red orbs.

-

Rogue had never wanted anyone, anything, in her life more than she wanted Remy inside her, her insides twisting as she leaked over Remy with what she hoped was a seductive smile on her face as she stared into Remy’s crimson eyes.

She felt the energy sweeping through him, almost considering, deciding whether she and Petra would continue with their game or whether he would take them to task.

Truly, in the moment, Rogue did not care either way; she was his, and even if she had to share, he was hers- a fundamental law of the universe, as sacred as the cross still lying gently on his pectorals.

She pulled her underwear to the side, hissing as it pulled at her folds, even as she rubbed them against his bulbous tip, gasping as she stretched slightly as he prodded arrogantly at her virgin entrance.

Her head felt funny too much stimulus all at once focused below her waster, a slick heat gushing out of her even as her breasts felt swollen and heavy, begging to be wrapped in a grip other than her own.

Unconsciously, her strained hip muscles caused her to subside gently against Remy, and he stretched her just a bit deeper and mewled a sound entirely unlike her as she couldn’t help seethe as she was opened up.

“You’re too big,” she whispered, shaking her curls of hair back as she glared at him, “You’re a bastard for making a sweet southern girl like myself do this for you.”

Remy’s hands found their way up to her hips, and she cried out as he traced her hip bones. Human- Remy’s touch sending her far past what she had expected; it was like his hands were all over her, and judging by the flickers of violet over her skin, they were.

“You bastard,” she hissed at him, bending down to his chest and nipping his pectoral as she scowled at him, “You’ve done this before; you’re going to corrupt an innocent belle like me.”

Remy’s was looking at her with something animalistic in his gaze, and she felt his hands tighten infinitesimally on her hips.

“Don’t you want to-ah” she slid down a bit further, discomfort flickering through her momentarily, “take me Remy, don’t you understand, I’m yours, I’m all-“ she cried out loudly as she pushed herself down feeling something inside her break as tears begin to bead at her eyes as she stared down at Remy, “yours,” she finished groaning as what was pain slowly began to transition to pleasure.

The word flickered violet, and suddenly Rogue’s back was on the bed, and she was staring up in surprise at Remy, whose lips were twisted into an animalistic snarl even as his body lit up again, violet tracing over her limbs pressing against erogenous zones she didn’t know she had.

Petra cried out next to them, “What the- oh!” her back arching as violet current flickered over her, and she desperately tried to cover her mouth; her warm brown eyes widened in shock.

“This is how you both like to play with Remy?” Remy asked her, looking down at her, an amused smile crawling across his lips, as he brought his face closer to Rogue’s and she groaned as his shaft stretched her unused pussy in a way she couldn’t have even imagined.

“Remy can play that way,” he said and then ruthlessly began to slowly drive in and out of her, and Rogue felt her depths desperately clenching at him as he backstroked away from him.

It was like being split apart; it was like every nerve on her was on fire; her nipples sparked angrily as they were squeezed by what felt like invisible hands.

Still, despite it all, she found the energy to smile challengingly at Remy. “Oooh, should I be afraid of the big bad, Remy? Is he going to-ah enjoy ruining a poor lovestruck Southern girl’s dreams of a white wedding?” she cooed at him, her lashes half lidded.

Remy smiled cheerfully before he scooped her splayed legs around him up, pressing them back into her chest. “Maybe Remy’s going to make sure it’s a more shotgun affair?” he replied.

Rogue cried out, climaxing so suddenly and so instantaneously she at first didn’t know what was happening to her; she could feel her insides desperately milking his shaft, apparently in full agreement with the man above her.

“Ah-“ she cried out, “You bastard,” she helplessly continuing to clench around his shaft even as she attempted to disagree with the man.

“Holy-ah shit,” Petra explained, turning her gaze to look at Rogue. “You have to stay focused girl,” she exclaimed, staring plaintively at Rogue. “We can beat him together,” she hissed, even as her eyes rolled back slightly.

“Remy be thinking the femmes have already been defeated,” Remy remarked, now sounding amused, “But Remy is a professional so he has to make sure.”

That started Rogue’s whole world as she began to be slowly but with increasing pace pounded into the bed her hips jerking helplessly with the motion as moans and cries became too much to say as she felt his lips bite gently down on one of her painfully hard nipples, somehow sending even more streams of pleasure through her.

Her legs jerked helplessly as she stretched around the man she loved, the man she had agreed to share because even as bad and selfish a girl as she was, when Petra had smiled softly at her, she had understood a part of herself in the other girl’s eyes.

She clenched tightly around Remy and she found herself murmuring words she didn’t even know she could say, “Please- ah Remy it’s too much, I’m going to- ah break,” she hissed even as she curled herself fully around trapping him inside her as best she could resisting with every strand of her begin every time he tried to retreat from her, even as her insides desperately attempted to resist each plunge inside her.

She shattered, again and again and again.

Hazily, words entered her ears: “Mon chere, I will not be making you a mother yet.” his warm, dulcet, horrible words trailed over her ears.

She could feel Remy attempting now to fully withdraw from her; she wrapped her legs as firmly as she could around his waist, encouraging him wordlessly as she rolled her hips to release himself inside of her.

Still, Gambit was physically stronger than her, and he managed to gently pry himself free only for Petra to demonstrate agility that she couldn’t comprehend, bending over her to seal her lips on Remy’s shaft a second before he grunted quietly and erupted.

Rogue stared uncomprehendingly at the other girl stealing her hard-won efforts.

“No fair,” she mumbled. Petra drew back and gave her a fully clean smile. “You can do me next,” she grinned before her eyes widened as she was manhandled through the air to be held above Gambit’s penis, which had seemingly disobeyed all natural biological laws and was hardening again.

Petra chuckled easily, though Rogue caught the hint of nervousness in her voice, “Uh, Remy, maybe a moment of respite; you kind of sent my mind crazy there.”

Petra’s descent halted, and she attempted to smile, but there was an edge to her that was now disappointed even as her legs had spread into a perfect split in mid-air.

“Do you really mean that, Petra?” Gambit asked curiously.

Petra’s flushed cheeks became even redder. “Do I have to answer that?”

“Of course, mon chere,” Gambit murmured huskily in her ear, “I will only do what you want to happen.”

Petra looked away, a small pout on her face, before a gleam came to her eyes and she bent her legs backward, curling around and attempting to press her flushed lower lips against Gambit’s penis head.

“Non,” Gambit hummed his smile remaining on his face, “You must use your beautiful lips for something else than earlier.”

Petra now fully flushed a brilliant red, before quietly she mumbled out, “Could you please fuck me?” she said quietly.

“Mon chere, I cannot hear you. How is so vocal a heroine lost for words at a time like this?” Gambit taunted.

“Dude,” Petra said her face burning, but now an element of the hero’s charisma out in full force, “If you don’t fuck me this moment you’re waking up naked in a jail cell.”

“Oh chere,” Gambit hummed to vibrating Petra, “Do not threaten me with a good time, oui; it is not ladylike to get a man’s hopes up.”

Petra opened her mouth for some smart comment but was entirely unable to do anything but cry out as she was impaled.

-

In a very distant part of her mind, Petra acknowledged that Rogue was entirely correct that he was Too, capitalized in her own mind Big.

Petra had taken bullets, punches, bullet punches even, so it wasn’t that it was too painful.

No, the issue is that her Spider Sense went haywire, but in a somehow extatically pleasant way, as she was forced to lose against the villain she had never beaten.

She looked down at her pubic mound, only seeing her pale lips stretched widely around Remy even as something inside her gave way, not in the way of a bone, not painful comparatively at least.

Red began to trickle down between her pussy lips, and she watched in fascination as it happened, wondering academically how in the world she had one from all her acrobatics and fights, but then realizing that only happened after her spider bite, so perhaps some of her spider toughness had carried over.

“Petra,” Gambit murmured into her ear, sounding concerned, and Petra had realized she had been lost in her thoughts for several seconds.

“You know,” Petra said, attempting to sound confident even as her heart thumped loudly against her will, “I thought you were going to teach me a lesson but-“

She was lifted off his length, her insides clenching, attempting to stay impaled to no avail as she was dragged off of Gambit’s cock.

“Gambit always appreciates your quips,” her lover commented cheerfully, “But he be thinking they’ll sound better as moans.”

Petra was slammed up and down, mid-air, finding her eyes locking with surprise with Rogue’s, who was staring at them with a dazed look, still not currently with the world.

Their hips clapped together repeatedly, and Petra found the tight muscles of her ass the only consolation for the bruising potion she was taking, not that she would have liked it softer because this made her feel it.

“Oh, Remy, please- I promise-oooI promise I’ve learned my lesson,” she gasped, egging him on, getting a massive thrill from taunting him even as she was losing.

It was just like their rooftop adventures. When it was just Spider-Woman. When it was just Gambit.

Petra squealed as she climaxed, her body shaking powerfully in Gambit’s grip even as he refused to let up on her.

“Gambit be thinking some femmes are the type that be needing extra-curricular learning as well.”

Petra laughed, a giggle escaping her throat before it was punched out as she was impaled again.

It was only her super-human endurance that kept her conscious for Gambit removing her with a powerful grip from his dick, and she was held in mid-air to watch in shock as Rogue lazily shifted up, sucking softly onto his tip as he exploded in streams of white out of her mouth even as she swallowed the majority of it with a gulp, frowning in thought as she lazily locked eyes with Petra, “You can get used to it I suppose,” she sighed, before looking at Gambit with half-lidded green eyes that screamed seduction more than anything else she had attempted that night her gaze flicking down to Gambit’s still hard shaft and then rolled her eyes so that Gambit could see.

“Ah, sugah, you’re still hard; let me take care of that for you-“ she smirked and stroked down his shaft with a smooth hand.

“Petra,” Gambit murmured quietly to her, “Do you trust me?”

Petra nodded, her brain stirring for a moment from its haze.

Gambit took Petra’s hand and then stretched it out, placing it on Rogue’s cheek.

Petra’s brain was still rebooting, and even though she knew intellectually she should be being drained right now, she certainly wasn’t feeling anything other than a small soreness welling up inside her.

Rogue’s eyes blinked open wide. “What?” she said quietly, even as she leaned against Petra’s soft touch. “Petra can touch me?”

Remy smiled down at Rogue, something gentle and soft, and Petra realized she had never once seen Gambit smile like that.

“Each of you is within my field of perception for my ability.” Gambit shook his head. “I’ve never pressed so closely to your bodies as I did just now. I can control your fields to treat each other as my own does Rogue.”

Rogue gaped softly and tentatively stroked down Petra’s side, not in a sexual manner, but almost in wonder.

Petra’s stomach tumbled slightly as she looked at Rogue, and she had to remind herself she wasn’t lesbian, well, at least mostly wasn’t.

“We can stop,” Remy shook his head, smiling softly. “I know that this must be a lot.”

Rogue tackled Remy, who let himself fall backward with her as she once more hovered above him, her abused, swollen pussy lips being pressed tightly against his shaft. “Oh no, sugah, we’re not stopping; we’re going,” and then she cried out as she sank down again.

Author's Note: And that's a wrap, I hope you guys enjoyed this short story I'm considering writing them when I can. Believe it or not they're much easier than the planning and pace of my longer stuff so I can pump them out a bit easier than the planning it takes for long stuff.

Let's keep these going! I love these three! This has been a very fun time even if it's events are all over the place more than I'm used to

Just dropping a comment to say more of this would be much appreciated. Loving the characterisations of Remy and the girls.
