Goats Book 5 Page 55 (Patreon)

A slight detour in the middle of this chapter. For the next few installments, Goats presents a Good Hitler jam, Coldfinger! Starring Mads Mikkelsen and GH himself. Here we go!

Every time I start a new segment, it takes a while to figure out the visual language, design new recurring characters, choose a workable palette. It was a lot of fun figuring out Mads and less fun once I realized how much background detail I had pencilled for myself. Make sure you zoom in and check out all the hard work that will never be noticed by 95% of the people who read the page. Luckily the GH comics have historically used stock photos for backgrounds (for added realism!) so I saved some time there but not nearly as much as you might think.

So that's why this one took so long. That and my websites being hacked. That threw me for a full week. It's not a good feeling.

As far as the websites go, I think it's time to let them sleep for a bit. I don't want the hassle of having to deal with setting up another decaying archive for free that goes mostly unused. The comics are all available in ebook form, and it's not like folks didn't have a chance to enjoy them while they were there.

Instead, I think this might be an opportunity for us. I'm going to post ALL of the Goats and SFAM comics here on Patreon, for you! One at a time, one a day, with a little commentary where appropriate. I think reruns would be fun. Anyone else think the same thing?

I haven't figured out all the particulars but I should be able to get this started in the next week or two. I'll post here with details once they're firmed up. Let me know if you have any thoughts!

Okay bye bye love you xoxo
