Hi guys, happy another weekend ^_^

In this month, we will have a few changes to comply with the new rules of Nexus. You can read it here:

https://www.nexusmods.com/news/14698

As you already know, modding is my hobby. I love to see you enjoy playing my mods and make tons of videos out of it. I also enjoy developing many frameworks which support other modders to deliver many greater works, for instance Custom Avatar Framework.

However, the current technologies in 2021s still don't allow PC to power via thin air. They still need electricity to run. A human in 2021s, which is me, still need food & water to function. And governments in 2021s, sadly, haven't provided them for free.

In years, we have been hosting contents on Nexus website as a win-win cooperation. They make money from our contents through ads and give us back a tiny fragment via donation points. Which is about $1 per 1000 unique downloads. In developed countries, this amount of money sadly doesn't cover the cost, let alone the personal time a modder use to contribute. Think if you r working for $10 per hour or less, you better flip burgers at Macca instead of sitting behind your PC.

Sadly, Nexus doesn't see the dedications of the modders. Instead they consider the attempts to cover the cost of modders as "monetisation their mods"

Which doesn't seem very right to me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm paid very well to live. However I'm not align with the idea of making money for a conglomerate at my own expense

Blade and Sorcery is the first game I mod and I love it with all my heart. I have played it for 1000+ hours and I will still be playing and modding for it. However, Nexus website is very slow, creating or updating a mod takes age, no way to automate the content and many reasons I couldn't be able to keep using it without seeing a doctor every month for my mental health

Also, as one of my favorite modders, I don't like the idea of an user need to register to download a mod. My mods should be available for whoever wants it.

Therefore, from this month, I will make some changes:

All of my mods will be uploaded in the new Gum Road site. You don't need to pay for any mod. But if you do, give me a dm on discord so I can give you a golder role as a Donator.

My patreon will be completely seperated from modding. Which means from now one all mods will be transfered to GumRoad. Patreon is only for my in developing game 1234

For Nexus users, I'm still support you. I will occasionally update mods on Nexus, just in case you need them

In my server, please go to #reaction-roles to get the role you need. For now, 4 roles will be highly supported: 1234, Blade And Sorcery, Tales Of Glory and Custom Avatar Modder. I will also clean up the server in order to focus on 2 main parts: 1234 and Mods

I will also remove all exclusive mods here. You don't need them anymore as B&S has upgraded to U11

With love

Pretty shitty that they locked the comments in that news thread too. They knew damn well that there would be (Justified) blow back from the community over this.

The bad part of the NEXUS site is the management stance, but the etiquette of most users is very bad. Of course, there are end users who can be said to be supporters who comment that they are very kind and sometimes give good advice. However, it imposes a forcible request that knows almost nothing and an individual taste that has nothing to do with the mod. They don't have a division of things. In short, the NEXUS site has become an extremely bad community for mental health. I may be a bad fan for lilHusky, but I think your stance on modding is very sincere.
