Your distrust of Maximus is kinda weird. Lucy’s aw shucks naïveté is kinda wearing thin at this point. She made a decision to trust Maximus, yet the moment they encounter two strangers whose faces she can’t even see clearly, she admonishes Maximus for lying and being cautious. She spent the majority of that early negotiation staring at Maximus or off into space and then decided to try to Mr Rogers her way through. Just goofy at this point. Annoyed he took a bullet for her bullshit.
