Cypress Vs Shardfell Commission (Moodity) (Patreon)

Hello, hello! Happy Sunday! Here's a commissioned piece by my buddy Zankies, who wanted to see a fight scene between Cypress and a massive Shardfell. Part of the idea though, was that Cypress was to be in the midst of transforming into wereCypress 😂Now while the piece looks pretty straightforward with the progress shots, there was actually a LOT of brainstorming sketches prior to this that helped me narrow it down (which you'll be able to see if you watch the timelapse 😂)

I think part of this issue, is I was so focused on the idea of a "fight scene" that I genuinely didn't think of the most important part; What would cause Cypress to actually transform? Well, he can't do it on command (at least not initially), and the trigger, for it would be that his life is genuinely about to end. So in other words, it's essentially like a fail safe or defence mechanism to keep him alive. That's when this idea came to mind 😂

But yeah, despite the initial problem solving it was super fun getting to work on this piece and I just want to thank you again Zanks for the opportunity! Really appreciate it! 😊🙏

Thanks again, and enjoy!
