Hey guys! Hope you're all having a great week! I've had an idea simmering for a bit but I wanted to share it here as well to get you guys's thoughts.

So initially, I had plans to do some sort of drawing challenge in May, but a shorter one (10-15 days, instead of the full month) and I was gonna ask what you guys thought the theme should be-cough cough May-notaur-cough... BUT, then I had another idea as well which the title of this post kind of alludes to 😂

What if I did a challenge involving 10 or so slots for quickshot commissions, the idea being that the slots would be lined up so that I did one comm for each day of the challenge? Well that's the idea 😂 Basically, the format would be set up to be sort of like the Weretober pieces in terms of quality, but because they would need to be done by the end of the day, the pieces would be more "artistic freedom" without back and forth during the process. As a result, I would charge far less for these comms (Maybe $250 instead of the $475 I charge normally)

Everything would need to be set up before hand though, so if I did do this, I'd get the entry form set up and put out by the end of March, or start of April, and all of the slots would be worked out with the clients before hand so that they'd know what day they're on, and work out any questions they might have prior to the challenge. That way, everything will "hopefully" run more smoothly during the actual challenge itself. 😂 I'd have all the specifics set up on the Form with the TOS though 👍

Anyways, that's the basic idea. Let me know if it's something that you guys might be interested in, or if you guys would rather I try something else. I'm open to ideas, suggestions or comments 😂

Thanks again for your time and attention! Really appreciate it 🙏

Maynotaur sounds cool darn it 😂 This is a neat idea! Give it a go i say 😌

Cowmilk

WOO! I love that idea, it'd be pretty cool to see aswell..you're very efficient when it comes to finishing pieces as is I say go for it!

heyokjc

OOH YESSS that’s sounds like a really fun way to try something new for commissions and an art challenge all in one!

TWstacker

I really like the whole “one per day” setup, feels like we’d get something new from you every day 👀

jonny

Definitely a cool idea, I like it

DerpyDrake

quickshot comm i think is the best choice, open to all species

Rider

I kinda like that idea. Some prep work and it should help streamline the whole thing... Cool!

This sounds like an interesting idea! As for themes, I can’t really think of any besides Spring since it falls in that season, but Maynotaur sounds good toooo xD

Soren Ashe

I would certainly be interested. Elemental theme, perhaps? Fire, earth, wind, water, ice, flora, poison, light (neutral; sun, moon, or general illumination), holy light, shadow, lightning, necrotic, gravity/force, spirit, and base arcana (think glintstone sorcery or magic affinity weapons from Elden Ring, or Magic Missile from DnD/BG3)?

Budge

I think it’s a neat idea and you’ll have plenty interested! My only other suggestion is irrelevant because the speedcom month idea is cooler (should be Moo-y not May-notaur 😌)

Collinsbro45

It sounds great! Would you consider streaming a few of them similarly to Weretober?

Hakawne

This reminds me of Iron Artist commissions, except setting a healthy limit instead of what some folks would do of "take as many and finish as many as possible" which led to a lot of unfinished work and burnout. 😅 It sounds like you'd be giving yourself plenty of time to set up, so I say go for it! We get to see a bunch of cool characters, too! I assume some of the conversation w/ clients will be to get an idea of the characters they're submitting. I think that'd work out pretty well

Tolgron

I'd love to take you up on that!

Kuroissan

Making people into taur? I'm in Something else? I'm in too

Eden Sanders

I like the idea of comms! Quick and fun and worry free

Murphyus

I think I’d be interested because the only comm idea I’ve ever had probably works better as a quick work than your usual spreads

Apis

Overall a cool idea. Surprises are way cooler anyway! :)

May-notaur sounds absolutely amazing, but I'm biased because it's my birthday month 🤭 the quick comms also sound great, I might be able to save up for the $250 price.
