Aloha, Patrons!

Happy to share my first video of 2025.☀️ Join me for a little island-style boat jam, and bring your uke to play along! Chord chart attached at the bottom of this post, free for everyone to download.

Can you tell that the ocean is my happy place? 😎 Hopefully I will see lots of Patrons in these Hawaiian waters for our Patreon 10th Anniversary Party on 3/15, details coming soon!

Watch "Island in the Sun": https://youtu.be/SJDFaXomMO8

Please click through to YouTube and watch, hit the 👍🏽, leave a comment, and share. Your support makes a difference in how YouTube shares my videos. Thank you!

Download the Chord Chart/Songbook and play along! At the end of our Patreon year, I compile a songbook of the year's Live Lessons, and below, you'll find "Island in the Sun" as part of our Patreon Live Lesson Songbook for 2022. In fact, the songbook has 2 chord charts for "Island in the Sun", one in Gm (which is the key I play in the video), and one in the original key so that you can play along with the original song. Please check out the other 10 lessons we worked on in 2022. Hopefully you'll be inspired to revisit a lesson! Thank you to all the Patrons for supporting the creation of these lessons and the songbook.🧡 All Patrons ($1+) can access this year's songbook and year in review here.

Get the Full Lesson for "Island in the Sun" (all Patrons, $1+): https://www.patreon.com/posts/60657973

I taught this full lesson for our January 2022 monthly Patreon All-levels Live Lesson. All Patrons (pay what you can, $1+) have access to the archived full lesson for this song, as well as a deep archive of Patron-only monthly live lessons going back to 2017. I maintain the $1 pay-what-you-can community tier because I want to keep these lessons accessible. Please take advantage of them! And Patrons are invited to record and submit a "homework" video if they'd like to share their progress on a song.

Enjoy, and see you this Thursday January 16th at 2:30pm Hawaii Time for our first All-Levels Live Lesson of 2025. If you'd like, join us 30 minutes before the lesson for a Zoom Social and meet some of your fellow Patrons! Lesson and Zoom Social info will be posted to $5+ Patrons on Wednesday. Hope to see you there! You can edit your subscription tier here if you'd like to upgrade your tier (and you can always change it back as well!).
