Aloha Patrons!

Welcome to all the new Patrons - thanks for helping us cross 1000 Patrons!  Excited to share more about our 1K Patron Concert!

I've been enjoying some time off in Hawaii (see my Instagram stories for highlights) - thanks for holding down the fort, getting back into the swing of things now.

TWO TUTORIALS THIS MONTH - What a Wonderful World + The Lion Sleeps Tonight

[***UPDATE: I will make a tutorial for Here, There and Everywhere next month because I'm in Hawaii and wasn't able to make it for this month - sorry for any confusion!  I will post a chord chart as soon as I get home to my regular tech set-up, and I will also teach it for our Intermediate Jam on Aug 31 if you're eager .***]

I've decided to teach 2 songs this month, one for Beginners and one for Intermediates.  Going forward, I think we'll need to move to separate votes for Beginner and Intermediate - which also means 2 tutorials a month!

What a Wonderful World first, then Here There & Everywhere

Although Here, There and Everywhere was technically the winner of our August voting poll, I'm here in Honolulu and don't have the right software to create the chart (my bad), so I'm going to teach the almost-tied runner-up What a Wonderful World in our Live Lesson this week.

I will post a chord chart for Here, There and Everywhere when I get home from Hawaii to my regular tech set-up.  Then I will teach it for our Intermediate Jam on Aug 31 and publish a tutorial for it early next month.

Bonus Beginner Lesson: The Lion Sleeps Tonight

Since What a Wonderful World is an Intermediate-level song that is tough to simplify, I'd like to add an additional Beginner tutorial this month.  I've been meaning to make a tutorial for The Lion Sleeps Tonight, because it's a really good introduction to chucking with only 3 chords.

So join me tomorrow for a 2-song Live Lesson!  I will teach The Lion Sleeps Tonight at the top of the Live Lesson, with an Intro to Chucking, and we'll work through What a Wonderful World afterwards.  Click here for tomorrow's Live Lesson link and chord charts.  And I'll publish tutorials on YouTube for both songs at the end of the month.

Awesome! Would love to learn this song for my kids. It's something my mom used to sing to me when I was a baby.

Leah Woosley

Yes, please, please let's do Here, There and Everywhere in a future lesson (Live Jam) :)

Darlene Sullivan

I am very pleased about this selection and would still love to learn here, there and everywhere...but, where is the rest of Stairway to Heaven?

Christina Ciano

Look at you! You're turning into Tyler...LOL

Matthew E.

So that means I have to get the $20/month to access this months actual winner Here, There, and Everywhere?

Rici

To me it looks like you're not having time enough for patreon right now. And what I really don't like is voting for a tutorial and finally you choose a different one - though I understand your reasons.

Rici

I agree - me too, I'm waiting for the rest of Stairway to heaven.

Electra Voulgari

I hope you will be able to do the Here, There and Everywhere tutorial soon!! I was really looking forward to it. Maybe next month??

Cynthia Lin

hi folks! ill do my best to get a tutorial for Here There Everywhere out early next month. trying to balance beginner vs intermediate and teaching while traveling, plus putting out a new album. i don't have all my usual gear on the road so please bear with me. thank you!

Dana Calta

I might be confused but did Here There and Everywhere win. Or is this tutorial unrelated.

Dana Calta

Oh sorry. Should have read all comments first. Thank you.

Rici

I think it is disrespectful to try to attract new patrons at EVERYBODY'S comment here on Cynthia's site. You shouldn't behave like that. 👎
