Aloha Patrons!

First of all, thank you so much for supporting Cozy Christmas (remember to use your Patron discount code COZYPATRONS). I adore our Patron community - there is so much aloha here, and I am so grateful to get to know you all through the joy of ukulele!

Time to vote! I just posted the September tutorial for Leaving on a Jet Plane, and the October tutorial for Free Fallin' is next on deck.

This month, I'm including top choices from last month, adding some of the top write-in songs, and for fun, I thought I'd add some "pop" holiday tunes that I might not get a chance to teach otherwise. Feel free to comment with more songs in this vein for next month's vote.

HOW TO VOTE

1. vote for as many of the checkbox song choices as you like below- multiple votes allowed. please note - as soon as you tick the checkbox, the vote is counted. (you can look at the ticker on the right!) note #2 - some Patrons have commented that the voting doesn't work on certain devices, so you might need a desktop browser vs iPad.

2. in addition, you can comment below with a song that you'd want a tutorial for. this will help with song choices for future votes. and you can upvote other people's song choices as well by clicking the heart on their comment.

Voting closes Tuesday 11/7 at 11:59pm Pacific Time. I'll announce the winner on Wednesday, and I'll post the chord chart before the Live Lesson on Thursday.

Thank you, and happy voting!

xo cynthia.

Cynthia, thank you for all your hard work.

Christmas Waltz is one of my all-time favorite Christmas songs, so that gets my write-in vote

Claire S

True Colours (again)

Raphael

The Girl from Ipanema ... I'd be thrilled attempting to play it this coming year.

Leah Woosley

ooo... the boxer is so fun to play and sing! John Lennon will also get my vote :) . My kids have been playing tons of Xmas music lately.

Sherry Shopoff

Many great songs. Do they have to be instead of Stairway to Heaven Part 2? I have Part 1 almost mastered.

Lynda Moore

Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton

Phylicia

Across the Universe by the Beatles

Phylicia

Also, did I miss something or is the What a Wonderful World tutorial coming up soon?

Lynn Haney

Too many great choices!!!!

Matthew E.

Stairway to Heaven part2 tutorial should be done regardless to this months tutorial since we voted thinking it would be the ENTIRE song some months ago.

Asia Al Haffar

Fly me to the moon and let me play upon the stars. Let me see what spring is like on jupiter and mars. In other words, hold my hand. In other words, darling kiss me. Fill my heart with songs and let me sing forever more. The the one I long for, who I pray for and adore. In other words, please be true. In other words, I love you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Asia Al Haffar

But killing me softly would also be cool 🤔

Carol Phillips

I would love a Christmas song but I know your time is limited. I am playing all if your jams from the Christmas stuff you have already created. Fly Me to the Moon is one of my favorites.

Dana Calta

Rainbow Connection sometime in the future would be nice and I Will Beatles.

Julia de Castro

So many wonderful choices. One can't go wrong ;)

Arlene Thomson

Can you please do Amazing Grace by Leann Rimes❤❤❤😢

Kelsey Fleury

Elizabeth

One Day by Matisyahu!

Peter McDonnell

When something is wrong with my Baby, by Jimmy Barnes with John Farnham ( or the USA equivalent) I'm from Oz.

Fred Allen

I love your tutorials, challenging sometimes but not daunting. There are so many old songs that deserve a rebirth; including some that I love to play on my 60 year old baritone uke, e.g.:"Skylark", "Through a Long and Sleepless Night", "It Never Entered My Mind", "You Make Me Feel So Young",

Friday I'm in love by the Cure. Makes me smile. would love that at a nice wee tutorial some time please :)0

Chloe Chenier

Something Vague by Bright Eyes - beautiful song

Kathy Klister

OMGosh, Sister! Anything by Bright Eyes! Another one that is great to play is Old Soul Song. 🎶❤️🎶

ST Rion

Ed Sheeran - Photograph

Ellen Underhill

How about "The Christmas Song," made popular by Nat King Cole and written by Mel Torme'

Gene Plagge

Yes! The Christmas Song!

Phylicia

I totally agree. I don't think the one song should have to win votes twice.... that also takes away chances for other songs!

Wendy Kriegel

Best day of my life by American Authors

Jo Ann Wong

Into the groove, Madonna

Jon F

Stairway to Heaven Part II please

Cynthia Lin

i think we’ll make this an intermediate lesson next year - there’s lots of interest but definitely too challenging for an all-levels lesson

Cynthia Lin

still trying to figure out how to finger pick this to sound like the original, let me know if you figure it out!

Jenny Selig

Lenny has a good Hotel CA tab on his site I’ve just started working on.

Erin Kuester

I love the Boxer! Pretty much any Simon and Garfunkel song will get my vote!

Maricar

To those who are requesting Friday Im in Love if I am not mistaken we have done the lesson for that a Beginner Jam. Also the Just Like Heaven, I saw a video of tutorial for intermediate. Maybe try to increase your pledge, just a suggestion because its all worth it. :)

Jenny Selig

Yes! Looks like Friday I'm in Love has been in four beginner jams this year ($10+ Patrons). Just Like Heaven Live Class Broadcast is also available at that level, and it was also played in a Totally 80s Live Jam. If people want an easy way to see which songs are available at which levels, they can look at the spreadsheet here: https://tinyurl.com/ybpcz9n5

Can we say Fly Me To the Moon is the winner for next month? I keep voting for that one and this time it ended in a tie. I would love to play Fly Me to the Moon for my parents who are in their 80s.
