Aloha Patrons from down under!
I'm currently visiting family in Melbourne, Australia (I have a brand new niece! so new she doesn't have a name yet!), and I can't wait to meet Aussie Patrons and fans this Saturday (tickets here). Follow my instagram for videos and stories from my travels - I am also posting for the #100DaysofUkuleleSongs project from the road.
Welcome, new Patrons!
A warm welcome to the many new Patrons who've just joined us! I thank you for supporting my work, and I encourage you to get involved in our extremely supportive community here.
Be sure to check out the super helpful CL Song Index of all songs, Patreon posts, and tutorials (thanks to our Community Managers for building and maintaining this resource!).
Community is about sharing - share your ukulele videos, share your questions, and share your knowledge. Many Patrons believe our private Patron facebook group is the happiest place on the internet - it's all of you that bring your aloha to our community. Hope to see you over there. If you're not into facebook, we also have a private forum. Thank you to our Patron Community Managers for creating these happy places. Anyone who is motivated can start a new community group - where do you like to hang out online? Create an ukulele group there!
NEW this month: All Patrons now get access to Live Lesson recordings
Just wanted to reiterate this change that starts with our January 2018 vote - read the full announcement here.
- Watch The Boxer Live Lesson recording (All Patrons $1+)
- and once you've learned it, you can use The Boxer Play-Along (public on YouTube) to practice
I've also made the True Colors Live Lesson recording available to all Patrons (Play-Along is coming soon). I'd love for all Patrons to watch and enjoy the Live Lesson recordings - and I hope to see more of you in future Live Lessons!

$5+ Patrons get access to livestream and chat in the monthly Live Lesson, usually on the second or third Thursday of the month at 4:30pm Pacific Time. - More on how the Live Lesson works - every month I teach the vote-winning song in a Live Lesson. I post a private livestream video link, and you can log in and chat during the Live Lesson.
$10+ Patrons get access to a monthly Beginner-friendly Live Jam, usually on the second or third Thursday of the month at 4:30pm Pacific Time. If you miss the livestream, you can watch the recording later at your convenience.

- For those who are new to the Live Jam, jamming is about casually playing songs together. I share a Songbook or Chord Chart packet for us to play from together. I encourage all levels to jam - you learn a lot by playing through at the pace of the group, and it's low pressure because we can't hear you. :) You don't need to study or know the songs before the jam. I'll help guide us through the songs and provide some review for the strums and some tips on chord transitions and technique, but the main purpose of the jam is to get comfortable reading charts faster and to have fun playing through songs. I break down the songs to keep the jam Beginner-friendly, and I also offer advanced picking and strumming variations so that Intermediate players can add their own challenge at home.
$20+ Patrons get access to a monthly Intermediate Live Jam or Workshop, usually on the fourth Thursday of the month at 4:30pm Pacific Time. If you miss the livestream, you can watch the recording later at your convenience.

- Players at this level have typically worked through most of my tutorials on their own and are looking for more challenging material. My goal is to provide the Intermediate-level Patrons with new skills and techniques, introducing theory and lessons on musicality and more of what the Patrons request to learn.
Thanks as always for supporting what I do, and thanks for helping me share the joy of ukulele with people across the world. I believe we can change the world, one uke at a time. :)
xo cynthia.
