Join us for our final Community Jam (Patreon)

{Public post}

Aloha, uke friends!

I hope you will join me and Ukulenny on YouTube this Saturday, April 24th, at noon Hawaii Time for our free Virtual Community Concert and Jam. Download the songbook pdf below, then strum and sing along at home with hundreds of folks across the world!

A Final Community Jam to wrap up our pandemic year

Thanks to everyone who joined us for last month's hilarity-filled Disney-themed Community Jam - get the Songbook and watch the replay here.

Ukulenny and I started livestreaming together in March 2020 when the pandemic lockdowns began, and it's been a huge tech journey learning to sync audio together in real time, while also syncing green screen video.  (We are still learning!)  With the world starting to open up (and opportunities to play music in real life returning!), we've decided to make this the last Community Jam for our pandemic year.  As a way of closing this chapter, we'll take a look back at the musical and livestream highlights of the year.

Going forward, I do plan on having livestream jams for special occasions (like we did for YAY!300K and the annual Holiday Jams pre-pandemic).  You can watch the replays for the full year via this Community Jams Playlist, and find all the livestream songbooks  here.  All the Songbooks are made available to the public for free with the support of the Patrons - so a big thanks to all of you for helping me and Lenny create these online community events during a time of social distancing.  I'm also live every Wednesday on Instagram for 5@5.

I have to give Ukulenny all the credit for figuring out the technological solutions so that we could virtually play together.  As performing musicians, it truly was our lifeline, and I'll be forever grateful.  Find info on all his Zooms and virtual events via his site and social media channels, which he's planning to continue.  Still, jamming online can't hold a candle to playing together in-person, and we're looking forward to returning to that reality soon!

The Songbook download is free for everyone, thanks to the support of the CL Patron Community!  #madewithPatrons  If you are not yet a Patron and would like to support our community and participate in monthly live uke events, please consider joining us on Patreon: http://patreon.com/join/cynthialin

Download the Jam Songbook

Click the orange link at the bottom of this post to download the pdf.  This Songbook is available for free download.

Most folks like to have the music on a separate device or printed out for reference during the jam.  Ukulenny and I will perform these songs without much instruction, and these jams are intended to be play-alongs for all levels, so I encourage you to have fun and play along at a level that's comfortable for you. For the harder songs, you can just sit back and enjoy the show. The livestream will also be recorded, so you can practice along with the recording afterwards.
