Hi Cynthia, How can I improve my timing on the uke? When I follow you sometimes I'm too fast, sometimes too slow. PS. Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorials.

Hi Cynthia I am hoping you will do a tutorial on the its a wonderful world portion of Iz's rendition of somewhere over the rainbow.

Resa Farbstein

Hi Cynthia, So glad I found you as my first uke teacher. Can't put it down! Do you have a list of which songs are intermediate beginner pieces?

Fuzzy

I'd love to see (and learn) some more "up the neck" songs for ukulele. A great start (and one of my favorites) is Just Like Heaven, that you've posted for Patrons. Space Oddity is another great example. Any song suggestions that brings us past the 5th fret would be well received. Thanks!

Brigitte

I am from Vienna/Austria (Europe) and like your tutorials very much.

Brigitte

Have you considered making a tutorial for Ain´t she sweet by the Beatles?

Irene Gelinas

Hi Cynthia :) could you please do a tutorial for Landslide- Dixie Chick's version? One that has picking and strumming? Please please pretty please :)!

Tracey

Hi Cynthia. Could you please do a tutorial for "What the World Needs Now"? I've always liked it, but it would be really nice in honor of Orlando.

James thomson

Hi Cynthia, ever thought of using a low G,and some jazz chords

Sam Walsh

Hi cynthia, I really love your tutorials. thank you so much for doing what you do! im just wondering i have a soprano and while i do love it, it gets drowned out in busy environments. So id like to get another ukelele! would you recommend progressing to a concert or a tenor? thank you!

Hi Cynthia! What about a tutorial for Those Magic Changes from Grease Live? Can I suggest having a future jam with famous movie and TV songs?

Mary Geary

Hi Cynthia. Do you have any tips/tutorials in mind for becoming better at reading and playing tab? Thank you.

Jennifer Lehner

Hi Cynthia! I have two questions. First, and most important/relevant, do you have any ideas for exercises I can do to strengthen my hands when I can't play my uke? I'm thinking of something unobtrusive I can do with my hands during meetings at work or when I otherwise have bits of free time to occupy. I've tried tapping the fingers of my right hand as if I'm playing a fingerpicking pattern, and trying to isolate movement to just one finger (mostly the ring finger and pinky finger) to try to strengthen those and increase their independent movement. Is there anything else I can do? The other question is just to satisfy my curiosity. There is a framed photograph on the wall in the background of many of your videos (Riptide tutorial is one example). Will you tell me what is in the photograph? Thanks!

Sophia Calderone

Hi Cynthia! so glad I came across your channel. My question is I'm very new to ukulele and I'm having trouble doing bar chords. I feel like my finger never presses all of the strings evenly. So I guess what is the correct way to do bar chords? Can it be a small hand issue? Also, space oddity music tutorial please!!

James thomson

Hi Cynthia.is there any jazz uke chord work that your thinking of doing ???

Michelle

Hi Cynthia, I absolutely love your 'build me up buttercup video'. I've been trying to teach myself the chords by listening but some parts are so quick! Any chance of doing a tutorial or uploading a chord sheet? Please please please!

Kami Richins

Hello! Love your tutorials! Thanks for teaching me how to play! My question is in regards to the backbeat strum. When I do the first strum, which is lighter, do I strum all strings or just the top couple quickly? Also any other chucking tips? I'm having a hard getting chucking to sound 'crisp'. Thanks so much!!

Jim Lawrence

Question: Regarding very large hands. I am 6'5" and have large hands. A bit more difficult to get fingers in right positions for moving from cord to cord as you do. Any suggestions, or previous practice tips? Jim

Edward Checkett

I started on the uke in March. Enjoying your lessons.

Tamara Hackley

Howdy ;) Any chance that you might be doing a "How to Change Your Ukulele Strings" tutorial ? I can't stand the strings on my concert uke and would like to change them out. I've watched a couple of tutorials online and it still scares me. I don't want to do anything to hurt my baby LOL.

Chris Cooper

Looking forward to July tutorial. Will it be posted here?

Chris Cooper

I'd also love to learn Landslide. Love your tutorials. Great work

Skip Halsey

So happy I found you. I am self taught and been playing ukulele for about 3 years. Your instructions and teaching methods are the best I have found and I look forward to becoming a much better player now that I am following you! Thanks.

Cynthia Lin

i've got this on my radar! i know it's scary - it helps to take a picture of your headstock before you start so you know how it's supposed to look afterwards. :)
