Lots of news as we approach the end of the year: new Signature Ukes! Holiday Play-along Livestream! our new-ish annual year-end Songbook! Welcome, New Patrons!

If you're new, I invite you to take some time to get to know the platform - there's a lot here, and it may take a while to navigate the many lessons and posts.  The community WelcomeGuide/FAQ post is a good place to start.  Please be patient, and I promise it will get easier!   

To find a specific song or lesson, learn to use the updated Cynthia Lin Song Index.  Thank you to the Community Managers for creating and maintaining this helpful resource.

Please introduce yourself in the comments: I'd love to hear how long you've been playing, what kind of uke you play, if you have a group to play with, what songs you've been working on, or anything else you'd like to share.

If you have questions about Patreon, I encourage you to post your questions in the comments below or to one of our Community groups. Our community has tons of friendly folks who love sharing their uke experience. Join our Patron-only Facebook group (be sure to answer BOTH membership questions) or post your question on the Community tab here on Patreon.

Year in Review - Live Lesson Songbook 2022 (attached!)

Last year, we started a new December tradition of reviewing all the songs we've learned together during the year (get our 2021 Songbook here).  Attached at the bottom of this post, you'll find our 2022 Live Lesson Songbook.  I look forward to reviewing these songs together this Thursday 12/8 at our December Live Lesson (remember daylight savings means your start time may have changed!).  Each chord chart has links to the corresponding Patreon lesson for quick access, if you'd like to get a little practice in before our Thursday review.

Below you'll find links to all the lessons and jams for each of our three monthly live events this year. Check out our 2021 year-end post - interesting to compare the variety of lessons. What were your favorites? Let me know in the comments!

SAVE THE DATE: Holiday Jam - LIVE in Waikiki + Livestream, Sat 12/10 at 2pm Hawaii Time 

If you happen to be in Waikiki this weekend, join me for my first local in-person jam since 2020!  To attend in person, RSVP here, and comment below so we know to look for you.  There will be a handful of Patrons in town for the Honolulu marathon and we're planning to get together for some other ukulele fun. :)

New additions to the Cynthia Lin Signature Ukulele series: tenor + koa!

I've been teasing the new instruments for a while in the live lessons or during 5@5 - excited to share the product pages for the new solid-top mahogany signature ukes (25CL series, which has both concert and tenor size!) and the new gorgeous koa ukes.  Find out more about the 25CL, including a list of dealers who are already carrying the new instruments.

The new koa signature ukuleles are the fanciest of the Cynthia Lin Signature line.  The tone of the high grade Hawaiian koa wood has such a classic Hawaiian sound, and the price is indeed reasonable for the quality of wood and construction.  Check out the new limited edition koa ukuleles here - because they are limited edition, they will be available only via direct order from Ohana.  Available starting this Friday, I'll share a separate post with that info.

Onto 2023

Thank you, dear Patrons, for being part of this wonderful community, and for sharing another year of music together.  Some things I'm looking forward to in 2023 - 100 Days of Ukulele, U3 tour, expanding the voice workshops to include more performance, sharing more about mindful ukulele for teachers, continuing to bring amazing guests to 5@5.  How about you?  What would you like to see in this community or your own in the coming year?

Join our private Facebook group: In the Facebook group, Patrons can share videos, advice, support, and encouragement!  Be sure to answer both membership questions so that Community Managers can verify your Patron status. Favourite live lesson would have to be Island in the sun as it was my first so will always have an affinity with it, it then took about 3-6 months to be able to play and sing/say "hip hip" in the right place!!!
