I'm home in Hawaii now, after 3+ weeks on the road, and it is so nice to be home. 🌺  We've got both July and belated June updates in this post, because #U3worldtour✈️ !!  What a joy to see so many Patrons on our U3 UK/Europe tour.  I'll share a few pics below, and talk about tour in our Zoom Socials and Live events today and next week.  (Join the Zoom Social today if you can!)

July 2023 PATRON EVENTS CALENDAR

Please note the TIME CHANGE for our Intermediate Jam - I'm excited to have Sammy Turton aka 4StringBoy join us as a guest teacher to share an "Intro to Harmonics" lesson, showing us his magical harmonics technique as seen in this video. Sammy is based in Denmark, so we're meeting at a more European-friendly time and hopefully have more European-based Patrons join in live!

Voice Workshop is back this Tuesday 10am HT, and we'll have a special guest voice teacher Katie DeNure next Tuesday.  I'm excited to have Katie on to share her more classically-trained approach to voice teaching.

June 2023 Recap - News, Patron Events and new Videos:

• The June 2023 All-Levels Live Lesson for "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey is now available to All Patrons ($1+).
• In our Beginner Live Jam ($10+ Patrons), we had a mindful ukulele jam, using songs from the Beginner Songbook.
• I released a performance video of "Valerie," with U3 and Craig and Sarah!  
• For the Intermediate Live Jam ($20+ Patrons), Ukulenny taught a fun and funky muted strumming workshop on Zoom and YT. Thanks, Lenny!
• We celebrated Day 100 of 2023's 100 Days of Ukulele. Read more in this post.
• The U3 tour continued. Did you see us at the SF Uke-splosion, in London, Worksop, Huddersfield, Paris, or Frankfurt?

and May 2023 Recap :

• There were 4 live voice lessons in May ($30+ Patrons). We concluded our focus on on the song "Hey Jude," in preparation for a future virtual "flash mob" project. Voice students are encouraged to submit a video for feedback!
• In our Beginner Live Jam ($10+ Patrons), we talked about mindfully playing fingerpicking patterns, using songs from the Beginner Songbook.
• For our Live Lesson, I taught my arrangement of "Valerie,"as covered by Amy Winehouse. This lesson is now available to All Patrons ($1+).
• For the Intermediate Live Jam ($20+ Patrons), we did some advanced work on reggae strums.
• I released a new video of "Sukiyaki (上を向いて歩こう)" featuring Yoshi Hana.
• U3 traveled for our West Coast Tour. I shared a guestbook post after our Berkeley + Huntington Beach shows. We also invited fans and Patrons to an in-person flash mob in Seattle! Were you there?

Be sure to answer both membership questions so that Community Managers can verify your Patron status.
