Brad Felker

Aloha, my name is Brad, new to ukulele and from Seattle. Love Hawaii and try to embrace the Aloha Spirit daily. Also try to get to Oahu at least 2-3 time a year.

Mary Stellpflug

Hello, I'm Mary, new to patreon, but have been following a few yrs during the holiday sing alongs and the wed play alongs occasionally. I'm from rural Rochester NY area. I used to play guitar for 40+ yrs but w arthritis issues learned ukulele on my own in 2016 and played by myself until i discovered You on youtube! I also occasionally play at church with a small ukulele group. Due to chronic health issues I am confined to my home a lot. But I love my ukulele collection! Playing really heals my soul!

In Tuscaloosa, AL the ukulele club (Druid Ukes) is playing at a local nursing home on 12/17/23 and hosting/playing at a Christmas sing-along at a local brewery on 12/19/23. We get together to practice on Tuesday afternoons. Details about events and practices can be found on our Facebook group page (search for Druid Ukes). All levels are welcome!

Hi! :) The Zoom social info is listed in the post about the Live Lesson, so it is open to folks at that level -- $10 for the one before the beginner jam and $5 for the Live Lesson.

Rachelle

Hello from Durham, NC. I’m Rachelle & am pretty new to Patreon & ukulele but grew up around awesome guitar playing. So, what took me so long!?! My home is in Augusta,GA but with aging parents, came to NC almost 2 yrs ago. Picking up the ukulele gave me something of my own having left my “life” in Georgia. I’m currently playing an Enya concert but am eager for a tenor in the coming weeks/months. If anyone wants to throw out some quasi advanced beginner tenor options, I’m all ears! My eye is on the Ohana TK-50ME.

Alison K

Hello from Rhode Island! I'm about 2 weeks into my ukulele journey and I love it so far! My husband & I took a trip to Hawaii just after Thanksgiving and I purchased my tenor uke in Maui. While I've been a flutist most of my life and took a deep dive into learning traditional Irish music and flute for the past 3 years, I've never played a stringed instrument, so I have a steep learning curve. But I love learning to play chords and harmony and wanted to learn an instrument that didn't require breath - just for a change. If I can master strumming AND singing - that will be amazing! I really enjoy Cynthia's teaching stye and she reminds me of some of the wonderful traditional & Celtic music teachers I have met - so generous, patient, enthusiastic and eager to share a musical tradition and make it accessible to others - all while creating a warm, welcoming community. I just love that! I hope to build my skills and playing ability and eventually meet some other uke players in Rhode Island. I play Irish flute occasionally in a traditional Irish session at a pub in Providence and am hoping to meet and make more musically-minded friends now that I'm "retired" from work and various caregiver roles. Learning to play music just feeds my soul! Thank you Cynthia!

Jenny Selig

Welcome! I got myself a Pono tenor as my "advanced beginner" level-up uke. I love it. It's probably my most versatile ukulele. Bought it online from HMS (The Ukulele Site) -- they do good setups!
