Aloha, Patrons!

The 100 Days of Ukulele Project 2024 begins this week - March 1st is Day 1!  Thanks to our amazing 100 Days Admin team, the new 2024 Facebook group is now open.  This is a private group where you can post videos as part of the project, watch participants' videos to give them support, and get inspiration to join the project if you're new.  Remember, positive comments only.  It's a central hub of our community, so please join us if you're on facebook!  (More options below for non-facebook users!)

Join our 2024 Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/100daysuke2024

What is 100 Days of Ukulele? Players of all levels can participate in sharing short videos of their daily ukulele practice for 100 Days - it's all about your creative journey and building a daily creative practice.  The secret: Consistency builds confidence.  Remember my mantra: practice 5 minutes a day, it's good for your brain and good for your soul. ❤️

Do you have questions about 100 Days or recording yourself?  Check out the FAQ and a handy online tracker here.

Ways to join our 100 Days of Ukulele 2024 Project Communities

You can do the project on your own at anytime and share on any platform, but I think 100 Days alumni will agree it helps to join one of our Project Communities and have the moral support of hundreds of folks around the world who are also playing during the "official" 100 Days of Ukulele that starts March 1.

Join our 2024 Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/100daysuke2024

Facebook is home to our most active 100 Days community group. Community Manager Jenny leads the group, and we have several moderators and group experts who can help answer questions and offer words of encouragement and support.  Thank you to our amazing Admin/Moderator team: Christina, Dori, Valerie, Terry, Owen, and Ken.  These are all folks who have done the Project in the past, and I appreciate them giving back to the community.

The Facebook group is private, so those who aren't in the group will not be able to see your posts. Not interested in posting? You can join just to support others and observe how the Project works - and maybe be encouraged to join next year!

Post on Instagram and use our hashtag #100DaysUke2024

Follow the hashtag to lend your support and drop encouraging comments to this year's participants, whether or not you're also posting!  @clukesquad will be re-sharing a selection of videos from IG participants, so be sure to tag that account if you'd like your post shared.

Are you joining this year on IG?  Comment below with your account handle so folks can follow.

Use the Instagram hashtag: #100daysuke2024 and tag @clukesquad

We haven't really built a community on YouTube in the past, but some participants do post there. Will you be posting on YouTube? You can use the hashtag on this platform, as well, and follow each others' channels to leave comments.

Patrons can also share in our 100 Days Patreon App Chat

Though Patreon has done away with the Community Tab, where some folks shared their 100 Days videos last year, we now have Patron chats available through the phone/tablet app (sorry, chats are not accessible via the web browser yet). If you'd like, post in the 100 Days of Ukulele chat I created to share how your 100 Days are going.

Roll Call: Are you participating?

Will you join the project this year?  What would make this year's 100 Days of Ukulele meaningful and sustainable for you?  Have you participated in past years?  What advice would you share with those who are joining for the first time or on the fence about joining?

Enjoy the journey, friends.  I look forward to seeing you along the way.

🌺 cynthia.

Let me just say the 100 days project is the best way I find to day by day improve my Uke practice and become inspired by all the folks who are posting and commenting. I have finished one year, had to stop last year about 60 days in BUT I hope to finish this year again. It brings me joy! And even though I am not very skilled, I still find songs I can play and enjoy. The community still is SO very encouraging.

Victor (Vicalely)

I'm so excited I hope to finish the #100daysuke2024 by the end of this year unlike last year.

Hi 🙋‍♀️ this will be my third year participating. I am looking forward to sharing my videos in the FB group and connect with the wonderful community! My goal for this year is to produce mainly „one-take-videos“ and to properly warm up the voice before recording. For people joining the first time, I‘d like to repeat a tip from Cynthia: don’t try to make the perfect recording: do max. 5 takes or so and then chose a clip that you’re comfortable with sharing. If there’s a „bad voice day“ just record an instrumental. 😉 See you all soon! 😊

Oh and I just saw the link to the online tracker! It’s very helpful to make a list or use some kind of tracker starting from day 1 👍

I'm anxious and excited to be participating in this program! I am eager to become a better Ukulele player. Starting this journey, I only play but who knows, if I make it a goal, by the end of 100 days, we'll see if I am singing and playing, as well! :-D

I’m excited. I see all the talent in past videos. Very inspiring. This is my first time joining👍🏼 let’s do this.

Hi erverybody, it was an amazing experience for me to do this challenge last year. However, I hesitate to participate this year because I'm afraid not to have time enough for one take each day . But, I would encourage everybody to participate, it's so nice to see and hear all this friendly community playing uke and singing. Have fun and a lot of thanks to this great staff who manage the website and a big big thank to Cynthia Lin who changed my life! Greetings from France!

I wasn't going to join this year because my life was so crazy especially in February! I have participated the last 3 years but I have never been able to get thru the 100 days. I only wanted to participate in the scheduled consecutive 100 days, but it's impossible to do every day. I pick up my Uke almost everyday but not quite, I just made videos and posted the days I could. I have decided to join this year, I mean I just decided, today March 1st, 😜 to join #100DaysUke2024 again!

Maritza
