Rewatching the end of the first episode after this one, I felt so bad for Lestat when he saw his mother again. I actually teared up for him. I hate her guts.

I think the whole relationship with Gabriella and the wrongness of it is very much gonna keep coming up. In his narration hes giving excuse after excuse to try to justify the incest until he gives up and says "its different for vampires whatever" but judging by him getting uncomfortable when Gabriella brings it up and him telling her they shouldnt get physical (again) and that they should make a pact not to do it you can tell he doesnt believe his excuses, he KNOWS its wrong. But accepting that would be accepting hes a victim. Shes the one that crosses the boundarie he tried to set in present time. And the one that blurred them in the first place in the past by talking about her sexual fantasies with her SON while he was hurt like? i have a feeling this is gonna be one of the things lestat is gonna have to reckon with.

I am loving this so far! But also, just as a note, "The Failures" isn't the band name, they were mentioned in the first episode as being a 111 album collection narrated by Lestat about the 2025 tour and consequent events.

yesss we’re so back! Agreed that the part where Lestat floated up to Louis and sang to him was SO good. Visually beautiful and Sam’s voice omg 🫠🫠🫠 We are so blessed to have him as Lestat. Lestat can also stop time/control people, remember in season 1 before he turned Louis and he stopped the card game and stole one of the dude’s cards? I’m not quite sure if that’s what he did to the crowd, or if it was a vampire super speed moment. If he was pausing the crowd, I think that’s means he purposely did not pause Gabriella and wanted her to see it. 👀

Speaking of Daniel ass, I love how much he loves being a vampire, and how much fun Eric Bogosian is having playing him/being in the show. Really hope we get to see him and Armand reunited this season.

The "boys" wasn't that inappropriate for the times. Figure your life expectancy was about 30 maybe 35 years. Many people married in their teens. Cringy now, but not really then. With only 7 episodes, they are packing the story and I love that. No time to dawdle, so buckle up buttercups.✌️💖

In the club "Chubs" the redhead dancer who makes out with Lestat's mom is actually a fellow content creator. She is one half of the reaction channel Nerdy Nightly. Her and her husband run the channel and he laughed at the fact that he was probably going to have to blur her out for youtube! 🤣
