Things are getting worse for everyone and the stake are HIGH! Also, we come up with a brand new drink for the season two finale.

Panic spreads through town as the residents face a chilling new threat to their survival; Jim realizes the magnitude of the mistake he made by enlisting Randall in his cause.

I'm watching for the first time along with you, so I can only speculate as well. I've got so many ideas and theories in my head! I'm not going to put there here, though, because if any of my wild speculations happen to be correct, I don't want them to seem like spoilers. If that makes sense? I'm so over Sara. I would be perfectly fine if that character went away permanently. Pity the cicadas went after Julie instead of Sara. I guess the town was bored with Sara as their puppet? 😆 I love Sergio's suggestion that the baby is a monster. Honestly, that would be *chef's kiss* for this show. Likely not gonna happen, but I would love the boldness of that direction. One thing this show has done is amp up the creepy factor for these final episodes! Not that it was a slouch in that area anyway, but the creeping-dread factor is perfect. Cody's fireball comment in the beginning made my little gamer heart happy! By D&D 3.5 rules (I don't like 4th or 5th edition) and by Pathfinder 1st edition rules, it's 1d6 damage per caster level to a maximum of 10d6.

Seriously! I don't know if it's the actress or the way the role is written, but her constant hangdog energy is off-putting. She doesn't light up the screen; she dims it, even for a horror series. I wish the writers hadn't tried to make her so central to the story.

This episode got me curious about the role of cicadas in nature. Since they all come out at once they provide a valuable food source for various birds, mammals, and lizards. They are also apparently great for trees! When they are young, they burrow in the ground which makes little tunnels that aerate the soil and keeps plant roots healthy. They help prune any diseased branches from trees and then when they die they provide a huge nutrient boost to the soil as well. Idk, learning about how bugs are important to the world makes me less afraid so here I am coping in the comments 😊

Always love the season finale drinks 🍹 Monster juice definitely sounds like a drink I’ll have to try! Oof that opening was ROUGH. The Randall & Donna drama was so wild. I appreciate Jade & Tabitha sharing information. Everyone take notes. We need people sharing knowledge. Sarah’s theory about people’s fears becoming part of the town was interesting. Oop the circumstances forcing Kenny & Sarah to be stuck together tho. I think that was needed to get some of their feelings & Kenny’s anger out. It was so sad seeing Sarah actually pull the trigger multiple times 😭 Loved Boyd checking Randall 👏🏼 Poor Ethan was going through it. The RV scene was tense. Oof Marielle blaming Kristi for her relapsing was rough. Reggie was spiraling HARD. Boyd seeing Abby was crazy. Jim’s gotta Jim. I feel like he means well but he gets so narrow sighted on his ideas that he often makes things more difficult for everyone. Not Elgin accidentally dropping the pregnancy tea to Boyd. Oop that ending with Julie! 🤯 We’re all in danger y’all! This episode really ramped up the story. Living for your theory crafting & breakdowns. Fantastic reaction 🖤

Unpopular opinion I love Jim but my god did he piss me off this season, the one thing I don't tolerate are conspiracy theories. I'm sick of the Sarah hate, at least she realizes what she did was wrong and is trying so hard at redemption. I'm sure if it was Kenny or Boyd or whoever that was being controlled by the whatever entity thinking they could get everyone home y'all would be singing a different tune.
