SHE'S HERE!!! Okay, this episode did not hold back and provided an another banger that made us tear up. Now, did they throw a lot at us?! For sure! But it's all truly amping up for the final two episodes. I mean, there must be a season 4 right?!

Also, the end stare?! I needed to run and hide. Let us know your thoughts?!

The band records their album as Lestat revisits his musical origins and pushes them to extremes.

Future me: did they die from cuteness at “Scoop”?

Pat_Bez

I know nothing of the books (so no spoilers), but im starting to think S4 may be an Armand centric season

Kimberly S. (Rawr)

OMG THIS EPISODE 👏🏼 “Stained Glass Eyes” has to be my favorite song so far! It’s so beautiful & heartbreaking 💔 Sam’s voice is chef’s kiss 🤌🏼 This may be my favorite episode so far this season. The character work, the music/score, the backstory, the queen, Louis & Lestat in that car scene 🖤 And Armand at the end? Nightmare fuel. Absolutely living for this show & your reactions! This is my fourth time watching this episode. Mostly cuz mom kept falling asleep. But I’m not mad about it 😂 Fantastic as always guys 💜

Krombz

All I want to see is Akasha. She has become THE most fascinated character on the show with just one scene

Syd

When you are done with the show, rewatch from season 1 because you will pick up on SOOOO much.

MavenCree

50:32 I have never wanted to throw out a "YAAAASSSS QUEEN!!!!" so much and actually, literally mean it.

This is my favorite ep this season - I love Akasha and the casting for her is amazing, and I love Armand even though he’s a little bit evil (just a little, it’s fine). Looking forward to next week!

BIG WAIT on the QOTD movie

Tom

I think that's Claudia's ghost in the reflection watching us that sing the song about her

Cyndy

I feel like the subtitle of this episode should be "everybody needs a therapist" Because.... WTH. Louis what are you doing? Lestat, let's not nearly burn to death while singing. The band, maybe don't open a vein around vampires? That's not safe. Armond has a rejection/humiliation kink. Clearly. But hasn't come to terms with it.

Catharine Corrigan

I deeply feel for the hard swerve from "Lol yeah this is just like real New York subway station convos lololol" to "OH GOD THAT'S ARMAND", that was me on my first watch

Jessica

Series runtime if they all got therapy: 0 minutes

I don't believe I'm spoiling anything here. I'm just commenting on your question about watching Queen of the Damned. Don't watch Queen of the Damned if you want things to be completely spoiler free. That's the third book of the series, and we're still on the second book. Even though I like to pretend that movie doesn't exist because it's a mish-mash mess, it will potentially spoil. This season is a barrage of chaos, and I'm loving it. If you haven't read the books, you're not supposed to know what any of this means. They're just hitting you over the head with sound, images, and small drips of information. Just go with the flow and enjoy it! You absolutely WILL want to rewatch everything once this train comes to a stop, and I don't think they're going to finish the second book this season. Who knows? They might. We'll see what the next couple of episodes have in store! I can't wait. But I also don't want it to be over. But if you absolutely can't stand it and want to peek ahead, that's up to you. Yes, you'll spoil some of the major events; but the show, movie, and books are all different enough that I don't think it takes away any of the show's enjoyment.

I'm pretty sure The Vampire Lestat is gonna be my top artist this year, on my wrapped.

Whew, so much to say about this episode, sorry it's gonna be a very long comment! I think it's my favorite of the season, the song made me cry both times I watched it, and every actor knocked it out of the park! Sheila Atim (Akasha) said that she was only on set for the last 3 days of filming and that was a 4-page monologue! She absolutely KILLED it, and I would bow to her in a second haha Sam showing his range, you can feel every emotion from his time with Akasha and when he saw Regina and Louis. Jacob breaking my heart with all the sadness and confusion. It's really interesting to see everyone's different takes on the scene with the paddleboat; I think everyone agrees that was the moment he realized that this needed to stop, but everyone has different ideas for why. Personally, I thought that her 'Turn me to stone!' reminded him of Claudia turning to stone and ash. And Assad, hoo boy. There's that 'half-blank, half-apocalyptic' stare! I feel like maybe "Rest" is just how he usually kills, because Louis mentioned in season 2 that Armand's victims are people 'half in love with an easeful death,' and he tried to lure Daniel into death that way in San Francisco. On the other hand, I do genuinely believe that he loves Daniel, and he IS known for falling in love very easily and for being unhealthily um... let's be kind and say 'clingy' in his relationships haha. I was very disappointed that after the confession last episode, we only got like 3 minutes with them in this episode, but I enjoyed those 3 minutes greatly and can FINALLY talk about the theory that I've had since season 2 and mentioned in my comment on the last episode, because they confirmed two parts of that theory here: That Armand has been hanging around Daniel a lot longer than he let on, and that Louis knew about it the whole time. Yay! I really cannot wait to go back and rewatch the first two seasons once this one is over, and I hope you guys do too, because there are DEFINITELY some things to catch now that we have the info we do (and whatever craziness we'll get in the last two episodes)!

Julie D

You guys really don't need to worry much about book spoilers; they're so far off the ranch at this point that other than the character names and the very broadest strokes of plot, the series bears very little resemblance to the book.

un.filth.er.ed

This might be my favorite episode because we really peeled back Lestat's vamp origin.

DewLeepa

i didn't pick up on it on my own watch, but watching you guys watch it i caught how afraid Larry was as he got the command beamed into his mind. rest sounds so inconsequential, so as he's asking, 'do i have to do this?' even as Armand is also probably regulating his emotions to avoid making a scene if he were to panic is very chilling.

DewLeepa

the alone watch through and watching the guys watch it - tears in my eyes both times did not know acting could be this amazing

rubberroomratty

Peak performance from Sheila Atim. Can't wait to see more Akasha

Indi500

I don't think Lestat lied to Louis about Regina though. Louis was confused about whether Regina was actually Claudia. he didn't trust himself anymore so he asks lestat to confirm. of course lestat sees that Regina looks just like claudia. but he tells Louis that Regina is nothing like Claudia and points out her eyes, and the fact that Louis responds with "she has no spark" makes it very likely that they are aware that she looks just like Claudia, but Lestat confirmed that she was not actually Claudia returned. No heart murmur, weird gait... Looking at her hurt Lestat so much that he had to confirm actual physical details to prove that that wasn't Claudia 😢

Bookwormy

SHE'S FINALLY HERE!!! Every episode 5 of this series seems to be full mask off, pain enduring

ChrisNThings

The Queen has LANDEEEEDDDDD! 👑💖✨

Bri

For a bad time, go back to the episode where Lestat makes Claudia watch the body burn. In her version in S1, he almost looks like he's enjoying hurting Claudia. In S3, he looks upset by it too and while he's making her look, he's also holding her hand.

Bookwormy

I knew Cody would be a lore girlie. It definitely seems like we're definitely getting a season 4 and maybe even season 5. And yes to sam's range

Rebecca Pantene

I’ve been so excited to watch your reaction to this episode but when I got the notification I had to do stupid shit like work (😂) and then, when I got home , I had to do annoying shit like figuring out what to feed my family (😂😂), but now… I get to watch this reaction finally!!! 🙌🙌🙌

First Question

Do we know whether the actors are actually doing their own singing?

Becky B.

I am living for your reactions. I love how excited you get for it, but also how much you pick up on. Akasha is EVERYTHING. Do you think, "no voices" meant, because all, but 100 vampires died she meant she wasn't hearing all the voices of all the vampires that used to be alive? This episode was amazing!

VV

If they continue in order ... the next book in the series is Queen of The Damned ... Armand's book is actually book 6. I don't know if in an effort to not lose momentum, maybe they will start combining books in the series... or if they will keep on this current path.

VV

Yes, totally agree... was going to talk about the same thing.

VV

Yes... they are. Sam even performed a one night only live concert in NYC last month as Lestat. And Noah Reid, Larry, also sings. He sang in Shitt's Creek too.

Anne

theyre setting up so much and theyre definetly throwing a lot at you and i think you guys are doing amazing at catching things, making connections and theories especially considering this is your first watch. One of the things i love about this show is i can rewatch a dozen times and always catch something, i love going through it with a fine comb and picking stuff up.

KimLarae329

This was the best episode so far. Poor Larry, Armand really irritates me

Tom

It's funny that no one remembers the fourth law which is why Larry is no more

Tom

Sam is actually singing and actually plays the instruments but you don't hear his PLaying. Sam admits he's not that great yet his words.

pamysue

I've seen the showrunner say he's looking for 5-7 seasons but nothing official from A&E. That song was SO beautiful! I must have it on my playlist.✌️💖

Jasmine Siller

Sam's voice is as gorgeous as him 😭

Joshua Shields

RIP Larry. Little sad they didn't use Noah Reid more, specially given he's known for playing one of the best bisexual characters in media, and this was a very queer show.
