Thank you for the support! You guys are awesome!

Sydney's ADHD is such that she can't even stay on topic when she's mad at someone. Well, sometimes she can, but the finger-in-the-butt tactic for dogs begs discussion about extended tactical options.

Honestly, a lot of movie fight scenes are fairly boring because they're all so similar. Two guys slugging it out is forgettable because we've all seen it a thousand times. The only things that stand out are unusual moves.  That's why the fight in They Live was so memorable because it was a scuffle, not two guys throwing punches six inches over the other guy's head. (That's another thing that bugs me about fight scenes, but I digress.) It's why John Wick and his point blank gunplay is memorable, why Ong Bak was memorable. Nobody throws elbows in Hollywood films. It's also why almost everything Jackie Chan did was memorable. Yeah, he punched and kicked, but he also launched wooden clogs at people and fought drunk and grabbed dudes by their ties and dove through ladders and fought with those short Chinese benches. For the love of god, don't let Jackie Chan near a short Chinese bench during a fight. I couldn't find a better fight with a bench on youtube, so here's an actual good fight sans bench. (BTW, pay attention to the fact that there are extras lying unconscious around that scene trying not to flinch while those two go ham five feet from them. They're the real heroes.)

And just for fun, here's the awesome fight against his own bodyguard Ken Lo in Drunken Master 2. Which as it happens does have an unusual chin to the eyeball move. Honestly, with just the right amount of stubble, that could be a crippling move. You almost never see eye-gouging, probably because it's viewed as a dishonorable tactic, so you don't want the protagonist doing it, and you don't get the antag doing it because you don't want the protag getting blinded.

Understand I'm not advocating for more fingers in the butts during hollywood fight scenes specifically. But... it would be pretty fucking memorable.

So is Sydney resistant to Succubus Lust Aura?

Justaguy

We all know Jackies truly a master of Cart-Fu.

Tannerbot

Quick thinking there Sydney. Also, parfait works fast

Bharda Sullivan

Also, yep, that just happened. She ADHD-brained an interrupt against a Succubus Lust Aura.

Matthew Dodgen

Anyone else here a little disappointed that we didn't get a wide angle view of this fight? 😅

Czarzhan

The ADHD powered Lust Aura defense is probably something she's had running around in the back of her mind since she learned Lust Auras exist and that she might get into a situation where she's in the area of effect of one.

I saw an interview with Jackie Chan where he talked about a part he had as one of the guys Bruce Lee plows through in the famous nunchuk scene in Enter the Dragon. He didn't precisely hit his mark, and Bruce tagged him with the nunchuk. He immediately stopped the scene and helped Jackie up and asked if he was okay. Jackie said he played up how bad it hurt, but said he was okay to keep going with the scene. He said Bruce gave him a hug and told everybody how tough Jackie was. He said it was the best day of his career, hands down, with a big smile on his face.

Hot damn. Panel 5 is going to be my new computer desktop. Sidney looks so sexy there.

John Harald Thuseth

um, have i been playing BG3 to much or is that Astarion in the group on panel 6.

Oren

we need panel 5 as a body wallpaper

Kizik Ucalegon

Well, there we have it folks. The very first recorded instance of a Succubus saying "Come again?" in a non-suggestive manner.

SheepFace2000

She’s like a Komodo dragon but with capsaicin in her spit instead of bacteria

DuoMax

Sheesh, I try not to be too thirsty about things but a vote incentive of this scene if Sydney was like '....sounds fun' and went with it seems like a good time to me!

Michael Obert

I hate to break it to you, Sydney, but when things escalate in the way Parfait was escalating them, a finger up the butt rarely solves the issue. There are movies. You probably don't want to watch them . . . any other time, a valid tactic

William Elliott

Lust aura parry is licking the eyeball? Who knew? Now I wonder about the fallout across the facility...

Marc Vun Kannon

Sydney has more self control than anyone in the building, even at ground zero. Impressive. Of course it helps that she knows what the problem is.

Eric Johnson

Cutest I've ever seen Sydney

Graeme Thorburn

For a great realistic movie fight, John Cusack v Benny Urquidez in "Grosse Pointe Blank." is my goto.

Andrew Denton

I knew a guy who tried the finger up a butthole method to end a dog fight. Didn't work, and now he had a very angry dog on the end of his finger.

Nathan Walton

I guess this is one of the few downsides to the giant anime eyeballs: too easy to target.

Aaron Mauthe

I really wanna like this post but it’s at 69 and I’m no heathen.

BJ

I have only one question, what does Parfait's eyeball taste like?

martin leske

im surprised her eyeball didnt burst into flames from all the... Scoville (even tho i see a bit red there) and to answer your question the easiest way to stop a succubus is to yell something so unerrotic that she HAS to stop. my first choice is TAXES!

Tristan N Milner

I'm very certain the only reason the eyeball lick worked this time is due to the residual capsaicin acid on Sydney's tongue.

Brett

one of the most brutal hollywood fight scenes i can recall is the knife fight in The Hunted between Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio Del Toro. simply brutal.

Eric Loken

Eye gouging is listed as one of the things to do if actually fighting for your life. Fingers up the nose and pull up and out was - I think - another. Also, kicks are a lot less effective in real fights, if they can grab your foot, they can just turn your foot and your entire body will either rotate with you (did it in practise once, it was really surprising) or your ankle is completely f****d, either is bad news for the recipient.

BJ

Sydney looks really cute here.

Manuel Vasquez

I can imagine Sydney’s saliva burns like bear mace from all that spicy food

Blood Raven

Like, actually smart move there from Sydney.

Biblioholic1993

Can the patreons please stop being the predictable thirst trap salivators? Long conversation needs to happen here, we know next to nothing. Yes, nice visuals here. But seriously. Not about to be another one who breaks out a word that actually means someone intended to impose their will on someone. But it aint exactly an apple-blossom day here either, "consent" is the operative word here... neither party did. Parfeit used about 3 kinds of safe word in the last page of this scene, "I am not sure about what I'm doing" practically shouted as well as expression and the squeezy-eyed kiss itself. Really it's SYDNEY obeying HER wishes? Not heard anyone point this out. (Obviously they were also Sydney's wishes but the convergence has no notes. CRIMINALLY UNCEREBREAL!!) What about the circumstances of potentially one altered-mindset being able to tangibly effect that non-control out to another mind, let alone a few hundred? Barely anyone said anything about that. It has actual real life implications of certain unhealthy codependent types of relationships. Not that those aren't distant synonyms, unhealthy and codependent. Wish the internet wasn't always so black-and-white all the time every time. These are genuine topics of conversation beyond the cleavage and the "neurodivergence is actually a superpower" crowds, do all y'all really need some ace-spectrum gibbs smackin? It kinda seems like you do :P Anyone got actual nonboinkin thoughts?

Kamikaze

How come that Sydney is seemingly not affected by Parfaits horny-field? Just plotarmor or her orbs protecting her somehow?

Ashley Tattersall

I did see the finger move used in a brittish series called Plebs. Was used against a lion. It certainly lost all intrest.

Afunnythinghappedtome

Dabbler: [shudders] Max: What? What is it? D: I...sense that a million hormones cried out...and were suddenly squicked.

Reigys

lol. Interesting. Begs the question of what else besides licking the eyeball would even work. Maybe sticking a finger up their nose or in the ear? Anything else sounds like it just plain wouldnt work and would just make the problem worse. Hmm

Sardines are us

since the vote incentive is now 2 months overdue - how about modifying some of these for fan service?
