Thank you for the support! You guys are awesome!

I don't know if Parfait wants to be in a Master/Slave relationship with angel boy there, so much as she just wants to break him over her knee, sexually. I'm sure the sexually naïve are like catnip to succubi. As are the sexually experienced. Probably the most attractive to them are the people who think they're sexually experienced, because they kind-of had a threesome, or once used a vibrator during sex! OMG!

The "I'm speaking a foreign language" brackets around the ". . ." makes me laugh, in that it's so pointless. It's like putting the brackets around sound effects. And in case you were wondering, presumably Parfait and angel boy are speaking something other than English, but I figured since they're speaking the local language in a place where there's no one who couldn't understand them, it doesn't really matter either way. Also, it's just a daydream of Parfaits, so it doubly doesn't matter.

By the way, the double dot "i" in "naïve" (a dieresis) indicates that the letter in question shouldn't be combined with the preceding letter. In other words, it indicates that "naïve" should be pronounced "nai-eve" and not "nive." My question is then, why isn't "cooperate" not spelled "coöperate" indicating that it shouldn't be pronounced "coop-er-ate." Why not "bookc̈ase" (I don't know how to do an HTML dieresis c.) Yeah, I know, you can get away with just typing "naive" and most people will read it just fine, but it always looks like a typo of "native" to me. It often works grammatically too. "She was a very native girl, and didn't know much about the modern world." Etc.

What I want to know is why nobody told me Jimmy Olsen died.

For one thing, two dots over an "o" isn't a dieresis, but rather an umlaut and actually changes the pronunciation. So, that's one reason why it isn't used that way in cooperate.

Love that manual entry. Wonder what some of the other pages might say.

Michael Obert

I'm a little disappointed the angel didn't say "Okily-dokily, neighbor" (though he is missing the epic moustache for that line, I guess)

IvyReed

Based on how intense Parfait got with Sydney I secretly hope that her master to be (master in waiting?) is a lady.

Carlos

The "'...' in a foreign language" brackets remind me of those "gasps in Spanish" subtitles of memetic fame.

With modern browsers you don't need "HTML" characters. Shout to latin american webdevs specially to the acute family (áéíóú = & aacute;, & eacute;, etc...) and their tilde neighbor (ñ = & ntilde;). As long as UTF8 + Unicode is used and the font allows it you could write in ukrayins'ka abetka (українська абетка), Nihongo (日本語) or Younger Futhark (ᚠᚢᚦᚬᚱᚴ) and others without a single HTML tag. You could even overload the combination characters and summon Z̳̥̻̥̭̺aͥ̎̆͊͑ͩl̺͕̱̺̫͖̽̾͗͒͌̚̕͢ǧ̷̵̱̟͉̎̅͝ǫ̖̈,̴̡͖̟̥͙́ ̷̣͍̮̻̈́̀͒̊̕͡H̸͉̳̝ͤ̋̈́͟͠Ḛ̵̭̱͉̝͉̬̞͚̻̍̆̅̿̉͗̌̊͛͂͞ ͍̭̼̩̘͈͖̣̞͇̲͖̜͚̥C̸̍ͥͧ̕͟Ơ̪̩͖̰̇̓̎ͬM̋̒̅͆̈̿ͬ̓̈ͮ́̓̒͒̎͞͝͏Ë̢̨̙͚̖͖͍̖̮̠̝̖ͣ̔̈́ͣͬͭͪ̒ͯS. Sadly, there's been many attempts to add pIqaD into unicode but all have been rejected by those toDSaH!

cooperate used to be spelled with diaresis or a dash. As for <...>: Different languages have different hesitation sounds (US um, uh; Japanese anoo, etoo), so it is in fact perfectly reasonable to mark hesitation sounds as translated!

I think the second "Tom" is supposed to be Thothogoth.

Random RP

Parfait actually is really cute, here.

BJ

Awww, that bit of Dabbler's backstory is actually really cute.

Reigys

Neat comments about grammar. As usual, it's enjoyable reading your after comments lol. Also: weird that an angel would have enough interaction with a succubus to entertain the idea of entering into a succubus contract with one.

Aaron Mauthe

She’s gonna give that poor boy an anime nosebleed

Jared Juetten

I like to think she's subliminally attracted to him because his nose looks like a penis.

Huh? Don't you know? Cooperate is actually an alteration of co-operate. Come on, I was sure you were older than me, Dave. It's a lot like how "electronic mail" became "e-mail" and then "email". I still refuse to use that latter, but you'll find that many unusual words like that with a double vowel that are pronounced separately were originally hyphenated or had some other form of punctuation between the letters if it didn't have a dieresis.

Tannerbot

Oh, she wants to slam him like a screen door. Feller is gonna need to drop some stamina potions to keep up.

Lord Crusade

Ironically, assuming she had/has enough mana to be a master (and who knows with those orbs), if Sydney was more open to the idea of being with a women, she would probably have been a great master for Parfait given what we see here. Dorky, inexperienced, easily flustered but excited to finally try things and see where new these new experiences lead, etc. They even share a lot of interests, have the same kind of "weird logic" towards the world, and generally are like mixing oil and more oil before adding a match.

IvyReed

You KNOW, Angel boy has a strong: "Alternate Dimension / twin / clone, gender swap" of Sydney, vibe.

MasterDigitalNinja

Meanwhile... back at the comic shop, Joel is trying to reconcile what he knows about Sydney vs the new line of comics featuring the Mighty Halo!

TrixieTurner

I wouldn't mind seeing more of tom, hes a fun take on your typical demon general. Plus him with parfait seems like it'd be cute as opposed to dabblers sexy.

Shremedy

Prince made "Kiss" his own song, people forget it's a Tom Jones original. Or maybe older.
