Fixation Level 1.0 – FOCUS (Patreon)

Welcome to Fixation 1.0, the first in a series of hypnosis games that will help you become my perfect hypnotic subject.

This first level is simply about training your hypnotic focus.

How To Play

The goal is simple, remain focused on the task of simply following the dot. The closer you are, the faster you score. Note what happens as you allow the visuals and audio to train your mind, and when you are unable to continue, just stop moving and a SURRENDER button will appear. Clicking this will give you your final score. Feel free to share your high scores in the comments!

What is Fixation

Fixation is an evolving series of interactive hypnosis games designed to train your mind. Each one designed to hold your focus, whilst my voice and my words work on crumbling your resistance. Think of them as a series of mind conditioning tools, training you to be a better subject, the more you play. Eventually these will be linked together as a full game, for now, patrons get access to the individual parts as i build them.

So I played it, very entertaining, fun premise. I do have two comments about it though. At least on mobile, when the button appears after you've stopped, it appears at the bottom of the screen. I was stuck starting at the center of the spiral, so I didn't even notice it was there for a little bit. And second, it just kind of ends. I assume when the next level comes out would move directly on to that? So maybe that's not such a problem. It just feels like hitting the button should have a "reward" or something. Anyway, I really really enjoyed it. Keep it up!

That's really good feedback, thank you. I will fix the position of that. And yes, surrendering once you reach a good score would allow you to progress, but i won't reveal what that score was. you'll just have to test your focus for me...

I've only closed my eyes for an instant and then wrong button on the display without pushing the closing button

I really enjoyed Level 1! It’s such a unique, experimental experience that I can see myself coming back to it often. I do have one 'problem' with the [surrender] button, though. I know I’m supposed to click it to progress, but your voice (and those finger snaps!) leaves me so paused, dazed, and drooling that I literally can’t bring myself to do it. I just end up following instructions 'deep down' in a total trance. Honestly, I’m not sure if I’ll even be able to reach Level 2 when it's out, because I get so stuck in Level 1! I’ll definitely keep trying, but I’m genuinely that far gone. Also, I agree that it feels a bit too cut off right after clicking [surrender]. I’m so hyped for the next levels—I can’t wait! Thank you for this fresh, experimental experience. My heart is already racing!

That's amazing feedback, thank you. Yeah i'll add a finishing soundtrack, a kinda rewarding wake once you surrender. It's very effective though, I had a hard time testing this... 😵‍💫

So far I tried on desktop (hit 8945) I definitely want to give this a go on mobile - it became so difficult to follow the dot, all I wanted to do was look at the spiral 🤤 will absolutely come back to this, the audio layering was (as usual) masterfully done.

Oh yeah muuuuuuch better. Surrendering with enough points feels good now, and the button is right on the edge of my focus so I can't miss it. The game has the right balance of feeling good to just keep playing and following the ball and feeling good to surrender. So out of it I can't tell which is correct but whichever I end up picking feels so good.

This was a lot of fun! I loved the pattern of the dot emphasizing the slow rise and quick drops a lot of the time. That was really effective as a hypnotic tool for me. Quickly started following the dot with my whole head along with the mouse so that drop was very strong. To the point where I ended up with long stretches of sitting there with my eyes closed just listening and occasionally getting points when the dot moved past my mouse haha. I shook myself out of it when I noticed the audio had looped back to the start, I didn't even realize til the second go around that the big "SURRENDER" was a clickable button

I wondered months back about hooking an eye tracker up to this, maybe influenced by ST:TNG's extremely hypnokink-coded "The Game" ("you know the secret, don't you? don't force it! if you let it, the game almost plays itself! "). This turned out to be quite tricky, as my eyes aren't totally aligned, and one of them was giving bad data. I did finally get it to sort-of work, but was fighting with it the whole time, and when my eyes were closed long enough to fire a scripted mouse-click my game score was, sadly, down in the range that the narrator scorned. I'm gonna rest now. Those blinks always hit hard.
