Chapter 9 / Page 19 pencils (Patreon)

Page 19!! We've gotten to the big mid-chapter scene change! This one was thumbnailed by Ananth!

This is meant to be a connective tissue page as Percy starts exerting control over Cameron's mind-space. (We'll see the middle-ground between the two of them in the next page!) The big change is in the color, moving from the soft airy palette of the previous scene into the more stark colors of the next scene. There's also a subtle rainbow effect in the under-lighting that I hope is noticeable but not distracting haha

One notable thing that changed between the inks and colors is Percy's expression - we decided it was more fun for her to be reveling in the moment rather than having a serious 'challenge' moment. A big difference between season 1 and 2 Percy that she's has re-awakened Chiaki's delight in conflict. It makes her a more fun character to write, too!
