Chapter 9 / Page 19 pencils (Patreon)

WHEW, sorry for the late update! I got our friends' kid's cold and it knocked me on my ass. How are kids so resilient with colds!!!

This is the big tonal shift page from Cameron's fantasy to Percy waking up and flipping it over (hence the fight on top of the big stained glass windows, which was 100% decided because it would look cool)

I usually do everything chronologically (which is sometimes a good idea, usually a horrible idea), so while originally coloring this scene I had NO idea what the finalized color language of the next scene would be. Ultimately I had to go back and re-color this page so it properly introduced the color language from the following page. SO HERE, you guys get to see the secret scrapped original version of this page! I'm really happy with the final version of it (with the yellow underlighting), so I can't be too unhappy I went back and did all the reworks.

Speaking of last-minute reworks, originally in the thumbnail Percy had a more serious expression but after reading the scene over we decided to give her a 'fuck you' smile, which seems to be her default with Cameron anyway 🥰
