The cathedral has flipped!! We're gonna fight on top of the stained glass windows!! AND NOW YUKO HAS TO DRAW ALL THAT

Thank goodness for 3D models, I feel like mapping out this whole space would have taken me a solid week for this introductory page alone. Ananth found a free-to-use model of a full cathedral in the Clip Studio library and used it for all his thumbnails, which really saved my life haha

I've been doing a lot of stuff color-wise that are really pushing the limits of my ability to think about color interaction, color narrative, lighting, value, etc.. As a person who started in black and white comics and desperately wants to return, I don't know if I ever want to do anything this challenging again!!!

I made a lot of bespoke color overlays for this space, including the fills for the windows and the pale rainbow streak overlays for the figures. I've been hoping that this has all been emotive but subtle enough to really get across the intent of the lighting without being visually distracting. People have been saying really nice things about the coloring so I'm HOPING my intent has come through!
