This was one of those "the whole chapter was building to this one image" pages! It was really fun and gratifying to actually get to this point! They're sharing a brain!!

This is also one of those pages where it's been so helpful to have Ananth working in 3D models to help him articulate what he's imagining in a scene with pacing and imagery. If you are a comics writer or work with a comics writer, getting deep into the thumbnailing process is really invaluable to communicating with an artist. I can't imagine how long a script describing this entire chapter would wind up being, the surreal imagery is too ungrounded to describe succinctly!

Anyway, I love drawing Percy and Leeds' 'aren't you tired of being nice' storyarc. Maybe next time they'll continue to be tired of being nice ~ ~
