Don

Excited to see the final results. I'm guessing the live truck is a Land Cruiser?

Bing chilling

Fuck yes, this is the stuff I like to see

Jon Chang

Live Truck? Land Cruiser is Truck Two :)

Don

I thought I saw you guys were setting up a truck on IG or something. I figured a Land Cruiser would be it based off this since we don't get the Hilux in NA.

Jon Chang

Ahhh yes - that is correct then LOL

ECS

This is some awesome stuff. I love all these details. Is Ember Element's role an assault force or more QRF? Judging by all the LAWs they're carrying, the Ember Element is expecting to hit lots of hardened targets. Also, interesting to see them carrying LAMGs in 6.5mm, which reinforces my theory that they are an assault force.

Jon Chang

Some secrets, remain secret for now :P

Dan George

What's a "Recon VII"? Couldn't find any rifles with that name.

Roger Fast

It's a thermal imaging package.

Guillaume Ash

Meh seems a good list to start Spectre miniatures collection...

Grimnir25

Nice to get such background infos. Is a Cold Harbour lore compendium still planned?

ChargeBlog

Well then, I think I feel a scenario coming on for a future game of Spectre Operations...

Geoff Wilson

So, are these guidelines for the tabletop miniature game or are you getting into the car dealing business?

Jon Chang

It is the task org for series 4 which will serve as the basis for most of our new stuff moving forward. Note the GFC and drone guy are not always embedded with the units.

Jon Chang

It's a thermal binocular system with laser range finder and laser designator. Ideal for a point vehicle.

Roger Fast

Is the GFC essentially like a JTAC?

Bing chilling

What year are the land cruisers?

Jon Chang

Negative. The closest thing to a JTAC in this force is the Drone Operator in Truck Two or Truck One. If the GFC, SGM and primary Drone operator were not rolling with the element, the Drone runner in Truck one would move to truck two giving the element a total of 2 per vehicle. The Ground Force Commander and prime drone runner will embed with different elements, and in the operational area, most often will opt to assume an elevated position to observe the conduct of the raid and coordinate with the headquarters element.

Roger Fast

Ah, I had looked up GFC and it said something along the lines of being a JTAC, but then again it was GFC/C, not just GFC. Thanks for clearing it up!

Bing chilling

And what about humvees? I notice a mix of humvees and trucks in the Syria books but I wasn’t sure if those vehicles are all owned by cold harbor or a mix of Kurdish and cold harbor vehicles

Whiskey Golf

BJ60 or bust! (I'm admittedly biased, I virtually grew up in that car in a jungle). But eh, Ninja Turtles (slang name for the J80s where I come from) are also alright. :P

Jon Chang

The HMMWV was something the US Army left behind en masse in that theater, so they were readily available. In our new setting, the Hilux and Land Cruiser is a far more preferable vehicle for security operations :)

Anarchogunner

What does GFC mean? Ground Fire Control?
