Are there persistent AOE attacks/conditions planned? Molotovs, CS, WP etc

Jon Chang

Not at present. Many of those things aren't being used in operations on the scale of those we are modeling. We are working on some new things we'll be premiering in 2020 that might have several of those features :)

Any plans on adding an IFF roll for AI in street fighting while they're in an "alerted" or "overwatch" state? I understand the "alert" behavior for defenders in a safe house or stash house, but in open engagements on the streets wouldn't friendly fire be an issue for them or do you have it modeled as the jihadist using radios or phones to coordinate and communicate maneuvers?

The jihadists can and will shoot each other in gunfights with the Crisis Troop. Also, when they clack off vests, they don't care at all who's in the blast radius as long as they are killing your dude(s).

I was more wondering in the case of post drone strike Jihadist QRF elements accidentally misidentifying a member of another element that was previously out of their sight line i.e. two elements from different blocks not engaged with the Crisis FIreteam come to an intersection and enter each others line of sight. I would assume in the dark and that in a initial scramble to track down the Crisis Fireteam, Jihadists wouldn't necessarily be the best at trigger discipline or Target ID. Should've worded my first comment better.

The guys who are coming to specifically get their jihad on after a drone strike are the best trained the Shadow Emirate can put on the ground. Typically, you will be facing Aayari Network enablers who are essentially the jihadist version of the Crisis Troop. They are trained and willing. This is pretty similar to how things shake out real world as well.
